250 Reigning Champ plates..

Can anyone please explain why we have to keep dumbing down our sport?

1E and 1W plates on reigning champ's bikes now? Why? We know what coast they won on last year...there's a damn #1 on their bike! What was wrong with putting the 1E and 1W ONLY on the bikes at the Vegas Shootout? That's the only time letters should be on the bikes. Feld and the AMA just keep making our sport dumber, as if the people watching can't understand or remember our sport has 2 coasts...

It's just unnecessary.

J-Bone said they put them on Hill’s for fun. They had extra sets and just decided to use them. The world probably won’t end...

Well, first, I like the letters, but they are optional.

Second, there are no other duplicate numbers out there between coasts and classes. 1, 1E, and 1W are different numbers, so I'd argue that they should run the letters in the 250 class.

Kinda off topic, I would like to see the top three in each class run colored backgrounds. Red for 1st, yellow for 2nd and GP green for 3rd. This would give new fans/spectator's a better way to keep up with who is who.... and help Ralph and Jeff also, lol. Just an idea that would help the sport in my opinion.
