I haven't seen anything recent on here. I know there's an old thread with some good info in it but I'm hoping someone somewhere has some new info. A little info, I ride a 2015 KTM 300XC. I ride harescrambles and extreme Enduro. I'm an A level rider.
Who is the best for fixing the WP 4CS? The suspension is so bad that I literally hate riding. I don't want to have $2000 into suspension. If I were to put that kind of money into it I would just sell mine and buy a 2018 KTM 300.
Any suggestions on companies who can fix the issues with 4CS at a reasonable price? If so, what seems to be the common price point?
Again, I don't want to get into discussions about buying different forks for $2000+ so please let's leave that stuff out (knowing vital that won't happen though.)
Thanks guys.

I've read glowing reviews for Kreft when it comes to an outdoor fix and revalve. They are just a little more expensive.
The Shop
This is what I am going to try: https://slavensracing.com/shop/piston-upgrade-kit-wp-4cs-wp-xplor-forks…
I've spoke to a fwe riders who say it fixed the issues they had with the forks. Unless I find a decent set of open chambered forks on ebay before then. I've still got about 4 months of frozen ground before riding season, so I'm in no hurry
I'll have to read up on those a little more. I don't mind buying a kit such as that, I just get a little swayed because I feel as though the professionals know how to make them good.
AER still might need some work so I wouldn't recommend swapping out with that unless they've already been worked on.
Otherwise the 4CS have been out long enough that a good reputable local tuner should have a fix that works well. Local is better so you can go back for adjustments to get it to your liking. Well known companies should all have a good system too- Slavens, Kreft, MX Tech are probably the best.
Don't listen to me though, I've never owned a set of 4CS forks.
There was a magazine project bike, either Dirt Bike or maybe Dirt Rider from a few years ago. It was a KTM XC build and they raved about the swap to KYB SSS that TBT did. Apparently the internals match up pretty well and I don't think its a big cost if I remember correctly?
Edit, got it. How much of a difference does a kit like this make?

Just got back from a ride 10 min ago.
Pit Row
Bought a YZ and 1st time out was more comfortable than I was ever able to get on the 4CS.
FWIW, I did move the forks down in the triple clamps per Enzo's advice. Move them to where the black part of the top of the fork is flush with the top of the triple clamp.
