So my brother owns a 94 cr250 bike wont idle.. we adjusted floats and it helped but refuse to go any higher. So what jets should i run we live at 4393' and average temps currently are 40 to 60 degrees. In order for the bike to idle whats so ever we had to turn air screw way out! And the bike bogs in lower rpms and not like a normal 2 stroke. So i believe its running way 2 rich. Any help would be awesome! I would appreciate serious responses really trying to get his bike running right so we can ride together! TIA.

Lean er out. Your pilot is obviously too large. Don't be afraid to go too lean on the pilot, it won't blow up.

Pull the pilot jet, read the number and put one in that is smaller

Adjust idle speed by turning choke knob out counterclockwise. It may be ok, but if not drop your pilot size.

If the bike is running rich and we have to turn the air screw way out.... why would I go smaller on the pilot correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't make it worse.

Because your pilot is so big that you have to add a crap ton of air to get it running better. With a smaller pilot you wont have to go 3 turns out.
