Have any of you tried the BLUR B-50 yet? Gimmick or cool idea?

Nice looking goggle for sure, but that Blur logo on the strap really doesn't do it for me..

My guess is that the first production run all went to distributors, dealers and online retailers. BTO has them in stock

Let us know how they are! I'm curious to hear feedback.

Personally I think they'll work fine for moto use. The technology is not new by any means, been in use in snow goggles for a while now.

But the fact that they're coming from Blur is interesting. If Oakley, Spy, or Scott came out with the exact same thing do you think people would be more receptive?

Everyone knows strap graphics are the most important part, don't they?

Oneal helps me out with gear and they own Blur. I was fortunate enough to get two pairs of the new goggles. I really really like them. I was a bit worried about the lens coming loose or popping out on hard hits, but they are solid. I smacked a tree going about 25 or so and no issues with the goggles what-so-ever. My shoulder, on the other hand, is still a bit sore!

With the way they mount, I have a better field of view than my old goggles as well. The one thing I didn't like about my old Blur goggles was that they wouldn't vent as well and sweat would drip down inside of the goggles on hot days. I'm not sure what they changed in the materials, but I didn't have any issues after riding 5 or so hours a few weeks ago.

My only complaint so far is that tearoffs will sometimes catch the upper portion of the lens and bubble out a bit which can distort your vision. This happened once and the next time I stopped it was a quick fix to have them lay flush. Since then I've just been a bit more observant of how they are laying on the goggle's lens before I start riding.

All-in-all, these are awesome goggles and darned innovative. I have a few clear lenses on order and more tear-offs.

Any issue with magnets near the eyes? Let's say someone has metal in there from working with a grinder.
Most likely a non issue, but when you go for a MRI don't they prescreen for things like that?
