Best Knee Braces

You're going to get a lot of advice and opinions. You have lots of options. Personally, I have Leatt C Braces and love them. Reason being is, I tried on many others and I felt like they were really wide and my legs slid around on the bike. I couldn't get comfortable due to the extra bulk. A lot of people make the adjustment, but I just couldn't. I tried various ones on, but I never felt good until I got the Leatt C Frames. I love them. I like you always wore knee pads (albeit some nice ones), but I too tore up a knee and decided to get some quality braces. I've been riding with the Leatt C Frames, and I seriously can't tell I have them on most of the time. And my grip on the bike actually improved with them, so much I started wearing off my shroud graphics and had to replace them.

My best advice is, go try on as many as you can - and sit on a dirt bikes to see how it feels.

When i was in this position, i kept complaining to my family physician about motocross hurting my knees and the bike, aggravating the same inner knee area.
Finally she sent me to a Prosthetics specialist, he insisted the over the shelf CTi's should be just fine. After waiting a week, trying them on, & the pair not fitting. He molded my knees and he had custom ones made for me. Getting all this done without a Post-op surgery is tough, and even harder to get insurance to pay 100% for them.

Asterisk are great, they are really comfortable and a great company to deal with, the new patella protection leaving no exposed knee area is great also. And if you get their knee brace they are even comfier!

In January I was wearing pods K300 and I somehow managed to tear my Meniscus and partially tore my ACL in my left knee *If I had no knee brace I would have probably shattered my knee and my toe would have been touching my thigh*. I got surgery on my right knee **old injury** and got the prescription to get the CTI knee brace, I received it a month ago and even though I haven't ridden in them I compared the PODS with the CTI's and it is like comparing a TTR with a YZ 450f 2018. The fit, the sturdiness, the quality, and the details on the CTI is just above and beyond. My right one was free because of my insurance and when I asked them if I could order the left one and I would pay it out of pocket the representative pretty much told me to go get a prescription for my bank accounts sake. The cost for a standard fit CTI is $1,200.00 brand new for each . Needless to say, I got a doctors appt coming up to get a prescription for my left knee but yeah I would look into the CTI's if you want massive protection and comfort.

Mobius

I'd go with Asterisks or CTi based on my experience with them and the fact that they support the sport. Give to those who give to the sport (The Castillo Bros)....not just to those who want to make a profit.

Recently went through this dilemma. I tried on the ultra cells, the mobius, and the Pods. I immediately did not like the ultra cells.They're prob the ultimate, but i felt like the bionic man wearing them. Tried the Pods on next, and was immediately impressed. I liked them a lot, and as far as "wearing something on your knee," I couldn't imagine any more comfort being possible while actually wearing something, if that makes sense. I tried the mobius on, and well, they were even more comfortable than the Pods. I really liked the fat padded strap that was behind the hamstring. The mobius were very comfortable. Everyone says they're warm though.

It was a tough decision, but I went with the Pods. To me, they were more of a traditional brace than the mobius. I read a few reviews of dudes still twisting the knee while wearing the mobius. I am sure that this is true for all of them. Anyway, the mobius seemed more like a "guard" to me, and the Pods were more of a "brace" to me. My doctor liked the Pods, and they were $135 cheaper on amazon than locally. Not a huge amazon fan, but how can you not take advantage of that price?

Coming off of just knee/shin guards, the Leatt C frames will most likely feel most natural, I tried both Asterisk and C frames and loved the Leatt. It’s what I went with.

Mobius. I'm riding with no acl snd destroyed mcl in my left knee. They've helped a lot since switching to them

CTI sells the ots ones on amazon now. I have cti custom, simply the best, had asterisk and mobius in the past.
