i think its safe to say this SX season has been exciting to watch when you compare it to some of the most recent snoozefests. With 7 rounds to go we have a clear front runner, but it can still swing directions if one or two contenders have a bad race.

It got me thinking at a little more than halfway over, where does this stack up against some of the all time best seasons?

It was exciting up till a couple weeks ago. Webb has it in the bag as long as he doesnt crash. With webb finishing 2nd, tomac or marv has to win 7 races to take the points lead. Chances of that are pretty low with how inconsistent both of them have been.

This season doesnt compare to 17 or 2011. Just another one that is seemingly wrapped up well before vegas.

It was looking like it after the first couple rounds but it’s pretty much just the Webb/Tomac/chokemac battle now
I’m loving it tho!

Webb’s consistency is going to be hard to beat.

The best part is that the champion this year will get no “asterisk” as many have called it in the past. Most of the top contenders are healthy and have been all season. No major DNFs thus far by the top 4 etc barring Anderson’s injury

The last 2 seasons have already been exciting and should be also close to the top, but it was a duo then a trio.

Right now it is a quatuor plus a few riders that can sneak in some wins too, so I agree with Crush, so far 2019 is at the same level of those great seasons.

no doubt that its Webb's championship to lose at this point, but is there a big enough sample size in Webb's career to say that he is going to play the point game and finish top 3 every remaining race. On top of that there are 4 rounds coming up that have potential to be wet
