Looking to get a new 450. Wanting to get the best bang for my buck.. I mainly stick to moto. B class level . I’m 200lbs 6’0. The CRF 450 WE seems legit. But pricey. Yamahas seem good. Kawi seems good and also cheaper. But maybe there’s a good reason it’s cheaper than the rest? Perhaps not as reliable? Im leaning towards the Kawi unless there having issues.
Ps. Not getting a Suzuki.. gotta have the magic button. 😉

The Suzuki RMZ450 is the best bang for your buck. You can get a pipe and suspension done and still be 2,000.00 cheaper than the other three.

New Suzuki price vs new other brand price? Not a chance. That's $3k less than any other bike new...not happening. The green machine would be the best IMO. Kawasaki has really good blow out deals if you watch.

Suzukis are good as well. You just have to kickstart them...and the resale is non existent. With all of this virus stuff, you may be able to pick your color.

Good insight I was leaning towards the Kawi even though I’m a Honda guy. It’s just so much cheaper. But more importantly I want something reliable. I haven’t heard if anyone’s having issues with any of the new bikes so I’m assuming they’re all pretty dang reliable these days? Not sure..

I had an 06 crf 250 bran new and that bike was a Complete night mare with the valves.. would hate to end up with a Bike that caused as much head ache as that one just to save a couple Gs

Kawi is best bang for your buck unless you can get an absolute smoking deal on a RMZ.

I was a Honda guy, until I rode the new YZ450

Coming from a 2017 CRF450 (75 hours) with lot of problems (two gearbox, one shock, one hub, all threads of screws disappear) and a lot of work to make it rideable (most on chasis/suspension), I had the chance to ride a 2019 YZF and then walked straight to the shop.

For me the Yamaha its a bike that needs nothing to be competitive. It really gave me a lot of confidence and I'm faster now.
It has around 50 hours and no problems, only changed the cam Chain and regular maintenance.

There’s a huge 120+ page thread on here about the 19-20 KX450’s. Only issue people seem to have with them is the subframe breaking off where the exhaust mounts. Same thing happened on my 15 CRF450 so it's not like it's just a Kawasaki thing. Had my buddy weld mine and never had an issue again

I’d compare Suzuki to Kawi, Suzuki’s are bullet proof. They’re all so good, and you’ll be the same speed no matter what color it is. Love my ‘19 rmz.

Bang for buck the 2020 CRF450WE is unbelieveable, dont believe me? Ask Kris Keefer

All the 450's are pretty much reliable, with good maintenance practices and treatment (the amount of guys I see rev limiting their bikes when they are not warmed up is incredible).

Find a leftover 2019 KX450. Exact same unit with a bigger rebate. Plus, you still get the magic button.

Assuming track use? Didn't say the application for the bike and that would sway my recommendation.

Yamaha, honda, kawi, suzuki

Kawasaki is a great bike but definitely wears out faster. I have the 2019 kawi and 2020 yamaha. Kawi is my favorite bike to ride but shit breaks and wears out.

Agree. All the extras the WE comes with off the showroom floor I don’t believe there is a better value “best bang for the buck” 450..

What wears out in the Kawi faster than the Yamaha? Suspension? motor?? everything else should be about the same.. As far as grips, seat, chain sprockets, bearings, etc.

I’m a little heavier and a little shorter. I love my 18 YZ450F. Suspension and motor are money. Tune it with your cell phone for free, amazing. Magic button, check. Reliability, check. Change the air filter with no tools and takes no time. My brother jumped off his 12 Yamaha and onto mine this weekend and said it felt like cornering a 125 in comparison. 2 years in I literally haven’t touched a clicker, just set the sag. The newest bike I’ve rode beside my own was a 16 kx450. It didn’t do anything bad or anything great for me, felt a little long. I really liked my 13 crf450 and every test says the new gen is much better once set up.

I am Yamaha biased but can honestly say I didn’t like the previous 2 gen 450’s. Just my 2 cents. Happy shopping new bikes rock !

I’ve only rode a 19 Yamaha and husky so all I can say is my experience on that Yamaha all Last spring and summer was amazing. Ran it stock except had to go up 1 on the rear spring

I will say it took a few rides 3-5 hours to get used to it but once I clicked I never looked back

Why isn't the title of your post " which bike Honda, Kawi, or Yamaha". You took out half the field on your perceived biases

That a closeout priced KTM/HUS with $ to change whatever your hangups are may prove to be the best bang?

Pick your favorite color and whatever the best deal you can find. Not much difference between a 19 and 20 Kawasaki so I would look for a 19. I picked up a 20 Yamaha and I love it 22 hours without a problem just adjusted the clickers works great off road and on the track. seriously can't go wrong with any new bike these days.

OP definitely never buys a round of beers.... If you are on a budget, a clean 1-2 year old used bike will save thousands...
