Can someone explain the theory behind ear buds?

A lot of our balance comes from our ears/hearing right? Im kinda perplexed on how plugging ones ears helps matters?

The balance mechanism has nothing to do with the audio input, but rather with the fluid in tiny tubular ear bones and it's relationship to gravity. Increased decibels for a prolonged amount of time for many years can damage your hearing. Think Pete Townshend = deaf.

A sena would be ideal. Otherwise its hard to beat a set of apple headphones.

With that being said i dont suggest riding with headphones on

Klipsh x11 fits way in your ear and blocks out a lot of wind noise when I’m riding my dual sport. I’ve never used them for moto. Down side is that they are expensive.

Riding with tunes on kicks ass once you get used to it. I don't need to hear anything on the bike, I just ride it/do it based on feel. Helps me relax and breath when riding. Great flow. No issues at all.

This! Not only will YOU love the sound, your neighbours will throw flowers under your tires, and their sexy daughter will go all sticky on you!

Lol.

I use ear plugs while racing. Once you’re used to it it’s a good thing.

I would say the new Bose Soundsport but I think that you're going to have a hard time fitting those with your helmet on.

If you're looking for something slimmer then Beats X would be my choice.
