So the topic states it all. JW your experiences with the GOOD bearings.... not the taiwanese, asian, or chinese ceramics.
the ceramics with japan outer race, u.s. ceramic balls Inside the motor.

Are they more durable?
are they worth the investment if your not on a budget?
when to replace?
how to install?

I personally dont care about where else to spend money. im just interested in questions and topics on this thread as it is a possibility i may give it a go.?!?

Maybe post this in the tech help forum? Lots of tuners roam over there.

Less weight in rotating mass = Horsepower.

BUT...... will they work in 4CS forks?

Biggest issue with running ceramics in our bikes is any bit of metal can shatter the bearing balls. Using tungsten disulfide on steel bearings is safer for those who dont split cases every week and inspect bearings.

I do WS2 treatments to my bikes and friends bikes regularly and use the treatment on custom bicycle hubs i machine. Its probably the best bearing service you can do. I have done it several times to full ceramic bearings in some bicycle hubsets as well, it improves an already fast ceramic bearing

what would this application process look like for crank bearings in a 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

If they are new bearings, $40. One day turn around

Ceramic bearings are only more efficient after 15,000 rpms. That is the absolute peak of a modern day four stroke.

@dtat720 is there any demonstration videos out there I can view? If I am interested in this process would I send bearings to you? Or would I send them straight to the core manufacture for ws2? Do they have to be new bearings? Or can they have a break in cycle on them.

The motor to the far right in picture above is a very, very low hour yz250f. It’s about to. Have all of its guts ripped out and analyzed and more so “guts of gold” will then be put in this motor and honestly I’m just looking to PROTECT my “guts of gold” investment.

And when I say protect I mean to take the load of of the rotating internals. And for this I’m viewing ceramics, and it’s fellow options cause stock isn’t working out lol

I had some videos about 2 yeara ago comparing bicycle hubs. See if i can find them. Its a drastic difference. You can send them to me, or you can send them to Huskamp Race Engineering. We both do it. Sometimes he takes stuff for me. He does NASCAR bearings and pieces along with Indycar transmissions, Porsche Cup car engines and transmissions. Chris Huskamp is who you would talk to there. He introduced it to me about 9-10 years ago when we were collaborating on some stuff

As for used, they would need to be sonic cleaned, dissassembled and have matched balls put back in in order to maximize efficiency. All of the higher end stuff i do has matched sets of balls put in the races
