Learned something new. I didn't know that CR22 felt he was at such a big advantage through his career on Bridgestone tires vs. Dunlops. At that level I could see that being huge considering the speed they're going.
Ping-Chad Reed Part 1 and 2 have been the 2nd best interviews you have ever done-why second? I'm keeping my options open for a better one. They have been awesome and I am a much bigger 22 fan after these two shows. Well fucking done.
Audio on this episode is the worst yet. Almost hard to listen to
Ping said part 2 was done in a garage, and through zoom with CR22 I believe. I'd take that content anyway I could get it though. These interviews just keep getting better. The longer the better! Thanks GL, Ping and Donny.
I love the fact that Chad loves the sport so much. you can just tell in how he speaks of it and it so refreshing when you know a lot of the top guys don't like it. It's a grind to a lot of the guys and some of them resent it.

Matthes does pods with others that aren’t at the same location and they sound fine. He is, like he says, an audio perfectionist.

Is it not true? The pods he did in salt lake have great sound. Sorry I have a bit higher expectations from this show, which is because the audio quality has been great so far, until this show.

Criticism is good you nut lickers
This was done via Zoom, and it was our first effort. I was happy with the guest audio but we will make changes to improve our sound quality.
While we always prefer to have our guests in front of us, it wasn’t going to happen promptly with Chad, so we improvised. By sorting out Zoom it also opens us up to guests who are not likely to make it to California. For instance, we will be having 3-time world champ, David Thorpe, on the show very soon.
We’ll get the audio sorted... thanks for watching.

Every content maker knows when the audio sucks and it’s more aggravating for them than the consumer. They’ll figure it out.
After listening to 1 and 2, I am impressed with Chad's ability to remember/recall details of certain races, bike setup, tracks designs etc, during his career.

The first 18 min are what I considered “bad”. Once the actual interview started it was better. Just when you and GL talked between each other it was a bit of an echo. I’m sure it’s something you’ll correct, your stuff is usually spot on.

I wasn’t shocked. You could always tell he was very calculated and paid attention to the details
Would be a great test rider for some team (maybe Team manager?).
I’m not sure Yamaha as a sponsor was Probably to pumped on some of his opinions but his honesty is appreciated.
Thanks Ping and GL for making it happen still!
Anyone using the built-in iPhone podcast app not seeing this episode in their queue? If I go to my library, it says the latest episode was Saturday, but when I click on the icon, it says I'm all caught up, and doesn't show episode 2. I've refreshed, I've quit the app, I've restarted my phone...nada.

I have that happen once in a while with other podcasts as well. I have stitcher when I have problems with Apple.

Not sure what the problem with Apple app is... some IOS users got it, others didn’t. Really weird... and we’re working on it.
Meanwhile, date is set to record episode 3. Can’t wait.

Hell yeah! Loving the Reed episodes Ping!
Look forward to him coming back to Kurri Kurri for the postie bike challenge with Craig Anderson each year they do it! Locals are still bloody proud of what he has done in his career!
It made me watch the Orlando SX 05 back and the Bar to Bar seasons 06/09.
Also the part of the crazy stuff Bubba was able to do over his career and a crazy jump with skipping a whoop section at Vegas. Looked for it and found it on YouTube. JS7

Pit Row
pretty funny to hear Reed go through the wild side of 2008 and partying.
I love even more hearing you all talk about the interviews of Reed,RC4 &JS7 against today's interviews.
I hope the 250 class now can bring this back.
