Ok, I'm bored to death travelling today... and it's NOT going well.

So, given the amount of weight and how out of shape Reed seems to get every time he's away from riding for any length of time, is he going to be the next Ricky in retirement? 50lbs+?

My vote is yes.

Throw it in the Dumbgeon if you like, if I see another "Delayed" beside my flight today I may lose my mind. Might have already!

I don't think so. Ricky has his genetics working against him. He was overweight before 2001 and naturally ballooned up after retirement. He has to work harder than most to keep his weight down.

I'm willing to bet Chad would just rock the "dad bod" at his worst.

Pretty sure Ricky destroyed every competitor and the record books. If he feels good and is happy with himself....that's his deal. I didn't see his name on any beauty pageant entry lists.

The sad thing about RC is the fact that he could probably train daily for 2 weeks and drop 10-15 pounds and come out and transfer straight to the main and place higher than Reed.

Note: I do find it fitting that with all the weight that Reed has put on he chose to ride a “Husky!” His butt patch should say “Extra Husky.”

2003 was Chad's championship to lose and there was at least 2 races where he did just that.

Maybe it's something about an athlete's metabolism- but how in the hell do these guys gain weight so quickly? It's mind-blowing. I can't gain weight for trying but these dudes can get a pot belly in six months it seems like. Maybe they keep eating the way they did when they were burning a tank of gas a day.
