What year? If it's new take it to a dealer. If it's older, you need a new frame. I wouldn't ride with that, nor would I bother fixing it.

Your only option is to take it to a well recommend machine shop/ welder or replace frame. Sorry about your bad luck, that does indeed suck.

I wouldn't personally. It could hold on but the crack has already propagated pretty far, time to retire that frame!

^^This^^ I wouldn't dare ride or weld that crack, send it to the recycle bin and get cash for it. It's not worth anything else. Either splurge and buy a new one or find a good used one for ~$200-$250.

Having been a machinist / Precision Sheet Metal mechanic in a previous life (years ago), I would state that a good weld shop can repair it good as new, but it has to be done right, and that only fixes what you're seeing. You can't simply run a bead over it and call it a day. The question is what caused that crack, and is the aluminum in a state where it's going to crack somewhere else next week? That said, I would take the advice you've heard so far, and either buy another frame, or part out the bike and buy something newer.

If someone brought that into my shop to weld, I wouldn't touch it. Too much liability when a used frame is less that $500.

It's worth saving for the story.

You also will not find someone capable of fixing that for near what you can find a good frame.

I agree with the guys saying " replace it ". Just glad you found it by tearing it apart , and not while the front end blows off from the rest of the bike while you're riding it. Uuhhg! Could of been ugly!

Put a stainless steel band clamp around it and ride it. Looks like plenty of meat left welded to the spars . Probably been cracked for years.

Replace it. You should be able to get a used frame for a lot less than a hospital visit if it were to catastrophically fail.
