Just posted today. What stood out to me is that the Husky finished last. I own KTMs and have never ridden a Husky. Are they really that different that they should finish so far apart in a shootout? I recall MXA stating that anyone who rates them vastly differently is nuts. Or is this just a testament to how close the bikes actually are, with all of them being very, very good?

Ride one. They are very good. And I'm not Honda loyal. Coming off a 16 ktm.
Edit; you had a 17 honda correct?

I just cannot get into listening to something for 2 hours when I can read more information in under a half hour.

I know I told myself after my 09 kxf450 and 14 Yamaha 450 that I would never ever buy a 450 again. But the Honda is certainly peaking my interest for next season.

I'll save you even more time then. They are all good. Honda barely beats the KTM/Husky in almost everyone's shootout so far. Buy whatever bike your best local dealer sells and will help you with.

And the Yamaha tied with the Husky for 3rd in the Keefer shootout. All of these bikes are so good and you can make yourself comfortable on any of them.

Come on. Honda has flat out been low on the list for years and now when it wins you say it's a joke and biased.

In the first 10 minuteish he goes over the overall results and then breaks it down and interviews the testers.

So same 30 minutes plus you can do something else like your air filter while you are listening.

Pretty negative comment for not even listening to make the comment you made.

Disclose the ad revenue they get.

And where is Alta in this. Sorry. This shootout is incomplete without it.

Wow the Husqvarna really sucks
Does it really? The KTM doesn't and it's pretty much the same.

A squid is still a squid, sorry to say.

Which one were YOU quicker/more comfortable on? Is the question.

As far as I'm aware, Honda only spends with one core-Motocross media outlet in the past few years and that's been Racer X. They've never spent a dime with Vital since we started....

We've been included in RFPs (request for proposals) but have never gotten an ad deal from any of those.

As for the Alta, it's designed to be a 250F competitor, not a 450. Having ridden an Alta, it would get dead last in a 450 Shootout, simple.

Bro, I felt way more comfortable on the one that the internet said was better. 100% stamped, hard.

I take it that he was kidding. Or it's funny how Honda started offering said contingency cash when they improved their bike.

Bam. Question answered. Electric won't truly take over until the range, weight and hp line up with the 450 competition. What's sustainable top.speed on the Alta? 60 65 with stock gearing?looking at dyno curves it looks super flat after 55mph . Is that a huge signoff feeling in the top of the speed range? Cuz a 450 will pull hard to 80, and pass 90 if you dare with stock gearing. So the alta would get destroyed in an offroad shootout as.well.....an esp any type of racing with long straights ala hare and hound or desert style terrain.
