I'd prefer a carburated one... I wouldn't change a thing on my TC250 2017 and I'd probably go for a 2019 one, not if it's a TPI though.
I've tried both a TE250i and a TE300i from friends and both are having problems with the settings. Both are running way worse than my carburated TC.
I'm sure Husky/KTM will figure it out and the TPI will be great, but I don't wanna go through the problems that the first modelyears might have
What kind of problems your friend have? I have ride and raced TPI250 5months and haven't got any problems. Bike runs way better than any carb bike has and power curve is perfect. There are many TPIs here and some turned to MX bikes also with zero problems.
Do you want your car to be using Carb and change jetting 4 times in year?

I don't know exactly what the problems were but both bikes are back at the dealers now and being fixed through warranty.
One had some faulty sensor and the other one had a problem with the computer I believe
Happy that you're not having any problems.
I'm sure it's working great if there's nothing wrong with it.
I bought one of the first injected fourstrokes a few years back and it was really crappy. So that's another reason why I'm waiting a little on this one...
Also I like to have as few cables as possible on my bike. Even on my TE300 enduro bike I ripped half of the cables out
Agreed, my carbed 17 250sx runs amazing with instant throttle response. I understand it for 4-strokes, but don't really need to add more cost to the 2-strokes.
Wow, lots of people love the idea of injected two strokes. Im guessing that a fair number of people have not really read up on the injected two stroke off road bikes and don't know much about the how's and why's of it, to say nothing of the performance angle. For those who don't care to investigate: It's an emissions thing and in no way superior to the carb bikes! it is heavier, far more complex, and slower

I am not buying it for all out power. I want a pure single track weapon that will not require jetting changes throughout the year. My friends have their 300XC's on the street, I hear they make one hell of a work commuter. Check your facts, they are smoother and every bit as strong in the HP department.
