So F1 are looking into going 2 stroke in 2025-6 to help them go carbon neutral. Says the all electric racing cars could be twice as polluting as the current hybrid cars.

There's no way they'd run a battery long enough to hit that portion of the curve in a highly competitive arena like F1. They'd be demanding freshies every few weeks/months striving for that last few percent in wt/energy ratio.

Lead acid generally out perform other battery types for longevity, the problem is size, weight, dangerous corrosive liquid, and explosive vapour.
