What are y’all thoughts on this bad boy? Said he bought it from the original owner, sat in a shop. Pretty much the only one who has rode it. What do y’all think this its worth?

Pricing for these are all over the place... I'd expect the one you posted in the condition it's in to be listed anywhere from $3,000-$4,500. Somewhere in the middle is probably right. I've seen some guys asking over $5k for similar ones though.. but that's crazy IMO. Big Bores are a whole different ball of wax. Market for them has really heated up

If he’s patient he can get 4-4500 for it.

It was posted a week ago $6000 firm. Now at $5400 and “has to go” so thinking maybe $4500? Don’t want to low ball him too much...

Clean looking bike, un molested, few nice bits like the pipe and frame guards add a little value... I would need a lot of money to part with my 500...

Do you remember the Dunlop K990? Great tread pattern but chunked easier than a block of cheddar cheese ...lol

Hey Mattyhamz i saw your response about the KX250 exhaust ill text you later today if its cool.

Thanks for looking out! I rode some moto with that obnoxious 3' long turbine core and i could tell its slaughtering the response and power ...plus i thought i heard some snickering whenever people looked at my dinosaur bike lol ....but honestly so far the bike has REALLY impressed me. Handles great, suspension is good and getting better as i fine tune it....motor isnt nearly as bad as some (MXA) made it out to be.

shane509,

I bought a 1999 that had the original tires with the only change being Renthal bars. The guy had it posted on Cycle Trader or what ever they call it. Called him on a Sunday and told him I would take it Sunday and would be there Monday morning. It was perfect.

He called me Sunday night and said he had guys offering him $5K but would honor the deal.

I bought it for $3800 cash. I would have paid $4500 for sure.

Minty. Offer him 4500 cash. If still no then go to 4800 firm. If he wants to unload it that’s a fair price.

If it was mine it would be $5,000 cash or I would keep it. Probably less than 20 in the world in this condition and nobody (not even KTM) is going to make them again.

Man don't try to lowball something that you really want......you piss the guy off and he may not sell to you no matter what.....

If you gotta have it then you gotta pay.......playing games trying to save a dollar will create nightmares of what could have been....you won't think about the dollars like you'll think of that great bike waiting for your commands.....just my opinion.
