There's so much great stuff in this thread, but I always forget about it until someone revives it.

Loved the PW50 days but he broke a lot of frames!

Our first trip to Europe for the MX Masterkids in Blenod France.

Always loved going to Branson

I think this was shot by Chris Hultner, maybe with strobes. He was one of, if not, the best moto photog ever!

Battling the current champ at Mini Os

Mini Os stepdown. Always loved this pic

I asked Tony Blazier, our resident moto-historian, for pics of Justin Buckelew and he certainly didn't disappoint!

1993 YZ80; My first new bike, after delivering many news papers in the rain. Always loved this machine. Upside-down forks on an 80!!....yeah, I'll take that one please.

Thanks for posting!

If memory serves correct, I recall Justin Buckelew was the demo rider for the 1993 or 94(?) Yamaha MX Model brochure. I used to bring that thing with me everywhere. In fact, this photo may be from the same brochure / photo shoot.

I had an 83 RM80.....It was the first dirtbike I learned to ride on. My dad put me on it at 6 years old and said "You'll grow into it" 😂😂 I couldnt even touch the ground and it was an intimidating to start out on to say the least. Heres a pic of me riding it for the first time on Xmas 1985, you can see how petrified I am, literally my FIRST time on a dirtbike and my dad held the clutch in, had me put it in gear and pushed me along to get me rolling, he helped me let the clutch out and let me go .... I had no idea what I was doing but I figured it out REAL FAST bec I kinda had to as you can see 😂

I rode with a set of Hi-Point leathers black with the yellow stripe down the side and a set of those iconic Hi-point leather boots with the aluminum shin guards. They were hard as hell to strap into with the leather boot straps you had to pull on the secure them onto the points. The leather riding pants were miserable to out on when it was super cold outside.....hard to put on and take off lol.

I'm sure some of you remember the pic of a kid on an 84 CR80 at one of the pro SX races where hes coming up short on a HUGE double (obviously an intermission mini race) it was at the back of the mag where they would always have a pic of someone crashing. Parting Shot??

Looks like the World Minis in Vegas, maybe '86? Just guessing on this one, but #12 is one of the Albrechts, 47 is definitely Emig, 55 is either Kalos or Rick Simmett, the Suzuki is either Budman or Gadis, and 257 is Swink.
What say you, moto historians, am I close?

It's '87, Kalos and Simmett were an earlier era. You got Emig and Swink right...
