18 models. Six trials bikes, four minis (including an MC-E5), four full-size MX bikes (125, 250F, and 450 F), and a slew of off-road models.

Confirmed that TLD will handle the team, racing in both the 250 and 450 classes. Tyler Keefe will continue his role as Team Manager. No rider announcements as of yet.

There's a new website, http://www.gasgas.com/ (last I checked, it was struggling). Maybe give it a bit.

Was going to start a thread but I’ll add on here.

Their YouTube launch video went live 30 minutes ago:

- 125 and 250f have cast clamps:

- 450 Was shown with SXS clamps and Akro system:

- No Excel marks on any rims but they still have billet hubs

No 350? That ends any talk of Barcia riding one.

All the KTM hubs I’ve seen are cast. They just machine the middle so it’s shiny like a billet hub.

250 and 450 models look to be $700-900 cheaper than KTM/Husky.

Why bring a knife to a gunfight?

Who realistically thought Barcia would ride a 350?

Can someone make a list of differences in KTM/Husky/Gas Gas? The only thing I could see when comparing a 300xc and EX 300 was the triple clamps

GG has Braktec hydraulics instead of Brembo. Braktec has been a standard on trials bikes, no idea how good their “normal” bike components are.

The video shows what looks like a factory edition 450 with the exhaust and clamps (likely just showing off the accessories), but the actual production 450 uses forged clamps like the 250. They have solid mounted handlebars as well (yuck!), similar (identical?) to some of the KTM off-road stuff.

They only said that on the enduro bikes. Looks like the MX and XC lines still have brembo/magura

I called it a few weeks ago. 2021 GasGas in Sx will be Dungey, Mookie and Barcia.

Mark my words!

It seemed to be a topic of discussion, though I doubt many took the idea that seriously.

After a quick glance, the only "downgrade" is the forged clamps with solid mounts? If that is the case, the price is really good. 250F for 9k compared to 9690€ for the SXF and 9900€ for the FC here in Finland.

I'm good with solid clamps. Then again, I run thick grips. Cool

No "power bomb" 4t headers. No handguards or skidplates.

TC, not that useful in my opinion.

No maps? Well that is a bit of a bummer. I wonder if you can buy the upcoming mapping device that you can for the KTMs and Huskys?

Tires? Who cares, it's a wearing item either way.

Stock wheels (and pretty much all the other stock wheels) are never great. It seems like the GasGas hubs are the same as the other Austrian brands but the rims aren't DID or Excel branded?

Still a pretty decent deal in my opinion!

I haven't seen pricing on these yet, but based on some of the comments about lower cost parts...

People have been clamoring for less expensive bikes for a long time. Is this a chance for a group to go from, say, "Ready to Race" to something along the lines of, "Ready to Ride?" If so, what's wrong with that?

I hope TLD and Roger are giving Benny a hard look as he'd do well on a GasGas and needs a stable, quality ride to develop his program and consistency.

The way the whole thing was explained to me was GG was going to ultimately be the "entry" lineup of KTM motorcycles.

They plan to utilize older tech parts and lower cost items to provide a lower cost machine that will meet the needs of probably 90% of people.

I like the idea personally. Imagine if KTM released the 2017 models side by side with their current 2021 models but at $1000 or $1500 less cost. This is what GG will essentially be doing in time. The 2021 GG models will likely be a blend of 2018-2019 tech and parts.

There a quite a few guys that liked the older gen KTMs better than the new ones - they were much more suited for moto and soft conditions. The new frame is super precise and I bet some guys would get a new GasGas for that reason alone if it’s the last gen frames.

Everyone now wants a 2005 rm125, but no one wanted them in 2005. Lol.

This is great news and great options for people wanting to keep life simple, yet having the ability to hop up their bike down the road
