Spoke with my wallet and got a new smoker. Last few bikes have been 4 strokes, most recent a 2016 350xc. It's gonna be hard to beat a 350. Here's where I'm at with it. Will be a "ride anything" bike for a vet expert.

A set of cone valves. Ponied up about two years ago, and moved them over from my 350. About 170 hrs on them now. Several rebuilds (time) and a few different valving setups, and they are perfect. My Division Suspension works in both rocks and whoops. They are worth trying if you get a chance!

Anymore I spend most of my time riding awesome remote single track. Gonna be fun to be on the more simple smoker again.

Congrats. I'm Vet Expert (43), you will love this bike as I do.I have converted about 5 4 stroke people after they rode mine. Grab the KTM LIGHT KIT that plugs right into your OEM wiring harness kit a license plate for trail rides as well. You will have an all around bike. Takes me 5 minutes to remove the light kit and go back to moto for the track ripping berms.

Couple sites you should check out..

Man, I'm so jealous. I've got my money set aside for when the 2019s come out. This doesn't make it easy to wait!

Oh, and throw a shinko cheater or Kenda ibex tire on the rear. You'll thank me later!

I was thinking about waiting too, but rationalized the TPI's still need more sorting and them to actual be available (300) and I'll get one. 2020 is the year for me to try and FI smoker. Have both a keihin and lectron carb on the bench for my new bike.

Tires are such a personal thing. My favorite lately has been the Bridgestone x40. Great traction and soft enough sidewall to work well in the rocks. Wanna try a golden tire here soon!

I did the same thing in 2015.......That is the perfect do it all bike. but if you're a vet expert,..... moto will be its weakness.

I sure love mine and wouldn't be without it.

Damn dude. You've done a real fine job there. Given me some ideas for mine (250 though) You're going to love that in the single track. That new counter balanced motor is amazing. Enjoy!

Ya I think I would agree moto is the weakness but not too bad. I guess it depends what kind of terrain you design your suspension around I guess. When I see Colton Haakker(sp?), Stu Baylor, Johnny Walker, Taddy Blaz ride their 300s in moto style scenarios it seems they can push the limits just fine. I have a 13 250xc and plan on keepin it as a backup when i get a 300fi in 2021ish. I really enjoy the 300 a bit more than my 250 in my kind of terrain

Those guys are some of my favorites. Along with Cody Webb, Sipes, Taylor Robert, etc. I've had a few 300's in the past. The new motor feels amazing for sure.

Want list:
Seat concepts
Damper (got an Öhlins)
Shock (division revalve and spring)
