I would like to throw a shout out to Guts. My son it hard on bikes in the rider area. He grips with his knees hard enough to rub through plastics in about 6 months. He got the Guts seat cover, with the Pulp discount, and who it is good. Stock seat lasted 4 maybe 5 rides. Now 8 months in and the sides are still good. Great product.
I didn't even opt for the optional reinforced sides, but thats an option for those who are hard on seats.

Ive never had a problem with it so I didn't go that route.

Best in the business! The Guts seat foam is so much better and last's much much longer than stock.
I had the same problem on my KTM's the seat foam was not very good.

I have guts phantom in my seat. It’s pretty firm. The problem with the tc and Ktm is the foam is so soft it your ass on plastic. I like the phantom foam a lot. It does the job.

For me , that stock foam didn't feel " soft " at all....it actually fely pretty firm. It's just really thin and not much there to help the tail bone when sitting down. Since I made this thread , I do still love my seat. But when I pick up my 250 this next spring , I'll get the exact same combo I ordered from Guts , only with the softer foam than what I got. Love what I have , but would be nice to be able to " sink in " a bit more with it being 1" taller. If that makes any sense?

Thing I like about ktm and husky is that you can buy an oem optional seat that is 20mm taller for $125

I've had their tal/medium for 15yrs on the old scooter. If it's a cold morning it sucks but in the sun or a warm day it's perfect. I definitely wouldn't go with the firm.

I've been having a hard time the last couple rides on my TC 125. Later in the day when all the corners start getting chopped up , I'm getting my tail bone slightly bruised. I've never had this problem on any other bike I've owned , but I don't think I've ever owned a bike that had a seat this thin and hard. I wanted to see if any of you guys have used the Guts racing foams , as they can come in custom heights and firmness.
they had one on the shelf for a 92YZ I did and overall its great. the fit/finish gap along the gas tank may not be perfect, but that could be the 2nd time cover installers fault to-me. Got medium I believe & feels fine.

Am I the only one here who likes the ktm foam? IMO if you're getting a bruised ass from your seat you aren't standing enough. Stiff foam = incentive to stand

I agree, the harder the better IMO. Also, a hard seat is faster to transition from sitting to standing

I have the lightweight foam and it's pretty dang firm. I think it's harder than stock.
There’s no doubt that it’s stiffer than stock. I’ve had the same tailbone problem on my first one that i had.

The weird thing is , is I have sat on 17' and 18' KTM's and their foam felt softer than mine on my Husky. It was the thinnest seat I've ever sat on. I sold my 2016 KXF450 which had an awesome seat , along with the 30 other bikes I've owned over the years....and none of them were as harsh as my Husky seat. Besides that , as I mentioned before....I'm about 6-1" and that 1" taller foam felt better for me.

Had a Guts Seat on my 520 that I recently sold, it was very plush felt like a Cadillac compared to other bikes.

When you're doing close to 500 miles from LA to Bee to Vee a soft but firm seat helps out a lot.

They will be by next aftermarket seat foam of choice for my 350.

Like bicycle seats. Hard seats are more comfortable for longer. Soft seat initially feels good but the longer and faster you go the worse they are. Shape is NB.

My 2008 CRF450 gave me sore tail bone - If you note the design it has a step in plastic base right near the rear. I bought a foam step to solve this which helped - I noticed all the pro riders that raced that model also ran a step.

My WR needs new foam. Medium or hard ? I am thinking firm since the OEM is so soft it like sitting on plastic base but not sure now after reading these comments.
