The Shop
Especially when the 250f has 4-6hp on the rest of the brands. I don't know how japan factory teams can build a competitive motor when there motor is handicapped from the start. If you look at europe MX2 nearly every holeshot this year has been a ktm/husky. Although in america Jeremy martin seems to have his honda dialled with starts.
The only thing not competitive at this point is the price, which I'm sure will go down.
However....In the US the 450 plate has now gone to Suzuki from KTM, Husky still holds the 250 red plate but JMart is closing the gap
So yeah not all doom and gloom you make it out to be
Jack Penton!!!
Pit Row
I know my bike is a far cry from a factory KTM, but nevertheless it is the best overall bike I have ever owned.
Here we are five years after KTM first produced e start, and the Japanese finally tip -toe into the water with it?
Don't even get me started on how much the new YZF weighs as compared to the KTM...
I was talking with a KTM employee high up in their racing department a while back, and I suggested that the difference between most companies and KTM was something like this...
Most of the teams are fielded by motorcycle companies that go racing, while KTM is a racing company that builds motorcycles.
He said, "Exactly!"
KTM now has the eye of the tiger that honda had in the 80s and 90s...
