Good Times Full gates and 3 or 4 groups of 40 , post a pic
Of the Bike you rode in the 90's if you have a pic
Or a pic of 1 like it.
This is My 1991 KX125 , Pic taken in Grantsburg Wisconsin
Racing 125 C class
Rocking the shift baggy pants on my 1998 KTM 125 (and donning a Fox chest protector) ...before KTM's were cool (and good haha... it was fine for my skill level..)

I raced Grantsburg once in ‘99 on a CR125 - BRUTAL - It was an age class so it was an open class - actually led for half the first lap as most everyone crashed in the first corner - some dude on a yz490 and carhart coveralls smoked the field. Never rode there again. Have pics of it but they’re back in Wisconsin at my parents.
Not a very good picture, but this would have been 1998 racing the winter arenacross championship in Redmond Oregon. I think that was my 96 or 97 KX125 and of course, rocking the Shift baggy pants! The 90's were such a good time for moto!

Grantsburg was my favorite track i Love Riding in the sand
Thats what all the little local tracks i rode on where like
Pretty much sand whoops around the whole track even in the corners and braking bumps the size of supercross whoops By the end of the day lol i love that though.
Early 2000s I raced/rode a 99 CR 125 then Brayton's old arenacross bike, 2003 CR 125. I remember being 110lbs and 5'2" hoping on a 125 and thinking holy crap this thing is fast haha. I started late so my first bike was an XR 100 then I jumped to the CR 125 and skipped the 80/85s. I think I would have benefited from the 85 haha.
I came back home from college in 1998 flat broke and hadn't ridden in a few years. Saw a barely ridden '98 KX125 for sale in somebody's front yard. I knocked on the door and ended up convincing the guy to owner finance it for me. Raced it at Highlands and Rio here in Houston for the next couple years and had a blast. Met some great moto people during that time.
I raced 125s in the '90s... and thanks to some great vintage racing organizations here in Washington I race '90s 125s now!! For anyone who hasn't been on one for a while, they are probably even more fun than you remember.
The 90s were the true hey-day of the 125. I wrote an article on the topic that you guys would probably like:
Currently race a 1990 KTM 125 at some Vintage stuff in the NW and having the most fun riding since the 90s!!

Vinton county racetrack McArthur Ohio 1997. Riding my buddies 1997 CR125.
1998 Honda Hills, Thornville Ohio riding my buddies 1998 and I would later purchase and regret cuz that turd wouldn't turn. Rocking the shift jump pants, rattle can grey spray painted Bell Moto 4 helmet with TLD bubbles graphics...oh yeah... good times! Apparently I must have liked that Jersey cuz it's around a year apart and wearing the same thing. Lol.
Had a 93 RM 125, went to a Honda 250 in 94, got another RM 125 in 1995, and another in 97, then my last RM 125 in 1998. Loved that bike. 1999 moved to the Yamaha YZF400 and so it began....
Mini o’s 1994- borrowed my parents GMC Safari minivan to drive down fromWI, blew the engine on the way back..

Purple fork guards & radiator shrouds - 1996, same year as mine. I bought a 96 KX125 and a 95 leftover KX80 for the wife, and we both started racing moto that year. I ran 125C and +30, she ran Supermini and women's classes.
Full gates everywhere we raced (NJ, PA & FL) in every class. Good times...

Who would have though it would be like a 20 year window basically.
1991 KX125;
I grew up racing off-road - I remember this race pretty well; huge sand hills.
Custom-painted Bell Moto 4 as well.

Here's me just missing out on the holeshot in the Novice class (I'm #99 on the Suzuki. BTW, #17 on the Suzuki is Twitch.)
And here I am on my way to winning the Intermediate class for the first time in '97. (I'm pretty sure this was the day.)
