Winning the supercross and motocross titles in the same year on a 125/250 is a rare feat only accomplished by the ALL TIME greats. Cooper Webb is part of the select few who has done it, and nobody has done it twice
Ricky Carmichael - 1998
James Stewart - 2004
Ivan Tedesco - 2005
Ryan Villopoto - 2007
Ryan Dungey - 2009
Cooper Webb - 2016
Zach Osborne - 2017

The Shop
Doesn’t have to win the title but needs to string some podiums together for sure. With a win or two.
Not many guys jump to greatness in the big class later, it happens in the first year or two usually.
Dungey 450 SX and MX Champ in '10 (rookie season)....twice in a row and both classes.
If he doesn't adapt to the 450 I can see a Barcia type of career.
Pit Row
We all know thatt he transition to the big boy class can be challenging. Cooper has decent speed on a 450
but seems to lack some in holding on to the intensity that is required for the race duration for whatever reason. It'll be interesting to see how he fares in 2018 SX. Coop is so good at forward momentum on the 250..... will he figure out a way to be consistent top 5? We'll find out very soon.
2014 250 SX West - 5th
2015 250 SX West - 1st
2016 250 SX West - 1st
2017 450 SX - 13th
Assuming that he stays injury free, 3rd-6th seems like a reasonable expectation.
