I’m 5’6 in half with short legs. Which bike would fit me best ?

I know this is a pretty stupid question to ask, but I’m 5’6 in half and I don’t know which 125 to get. I have a 03 CR125 but i can’t put both feet on the ground. When I was first looking for a 125, I went to a pawn shop to see if I can fit one. I sat in the bike and flat footed with one foot or so. The CR125 I have had a RG3 suspension would that do anything to make it a little bit taller than the stock suspension? anyways any help would be great before I go ride with friends here soon.

YZ125. Smallest rider triangle and anything 2006+ is stellar. Or just ride your 2003 CR125 and be happy; Maybe get the proper spring rates for your weight and sort the suspension. RC was only 5'6" and he ripped everything from a KX125 through his RMZ450 years...

Most can be readily modified to suit your height. Suspension done to suit your height and weight, shave the seat down, lowering link for the rear shock, etc.
If you're new to riding just getting the seat time will help you too with your confidence and comfortability.
Seen plenty of tiny guys who ripped on bikes that were too big for them.

I'm 5'5" and ride a Kawie 450. End of the day, it's not about height it's about how you can move the weight of the bike around and how you feel comfortable. I have heard the newer KTM bikes suit a smaller rider though.

For track, maybe just raised aftermarket pegs on any bike. Rest probably just suspension setup. You can raise the forks in the triple clamps and can adjust the sag in the back.

For trail riding, I would recommend if your buying from a motorcycle shop, also ask about front springs lowering, after-market pegs the are raised and lowering link for the rear.

I'm 5'6". I ride a Kawi 450. I cut the seat down and feel much better on it. I also have a 16 KTM 125sx for playing around on. It's stock and I feel fine on it. Doesn't seem as tall as my 450.

My riding buddy is 5'5" and rides a RMZ 450. He cut his seat and has a lowering link. Works well for him and he's damn fast on it.

My daughter is 5'5 and she rides an 04 kx125. I'm 5'6 and like the kx125 the best too. I have an 06 yz125 and a 2012 ktm 150sx, both are taller feeling than the kx.

Could go with one of the cut down seats on a 125, i know a guy who runs one and he has no problems.

My rmz 250 feels good . 5 6 you could ride whatever it really doesn’t matter. I’m 5’5 the only bike I feel would be to much is a yz450

Whatever bike you decide to go with, DO NOT buy a lowering link. The perceived benefit of a lower seat height is offset by the fact that you’re dramatically upsetting the way the bike was meant to ride. By lowering the rear, you’re essentially turning the bike into a chopper, and taking front end traction away. As a result, the bike won’t corner well at all and it will be much more difficult to ride correctly. Yes the seat height will be lower, but it’ll feel weird in corners. It’s the same effect of adding too much suspension sag. IMO being able to touch both feet on the ground isn’t a huge issue. As long as you can ride the bike with the correct technique you’re fine. Only problem you’ll encounter is starting the thing. Just make sure you bring something to stand on at the track, or buy a bike with e-start (which isn’t an option on 125s unfortunately). Sorry for the lengthy post but I’ve seen too many dudes go thru the same thing lol.

I’d ask the pawn shop to help you set it up for your height. When I picked up my scoot from the local pawn shop they set it up perfect for me.
