I came across something and thought I would share it with everyone. I'm not sure if this is suppose to be a public document or not. If not Mods feel free to take down this post.

The document is a sponsorship proposal for a current supercross team. It shows shows numbers from supercross attendance, social media hits, media coverage to what it costs to be part of said team.

Anyways take a look.

Interesting indeed.. Thanks for sharing it. I was pretty hesitant to click since it sounded kinda spammy; but couldn't resist. Laughing It's cool everyone, I jumped on the grenade for you all Laughing

Definitely an interesting look at the business aspect of what kind of $$ it takes to run a team, how to sell the ROI to potential sponsors, etc.. and that's just for a 'smaller' sattelite team.. Imagine what kind of $$ it takes to partner up with the factory teams..

That was really cool to read through. I gotta say, I was actually surprised at the sponsorship dollars. I guess I was just expecting it to cost more than that to be a major sponsor for a team at that level. Does anyone have any "ballpark" idea of how that amount stacks up to the cost of sponsoring one of the big teams?

Hmm... Transworld MX's website gets almost 5x the amount of monthly hits more than Racer X does? That doesn't sound right...

Admins - is the 800,000 number in the right ballpark for this site?? Or is that not necessarily 'public' info..

Cool, I'll soon be a "2 percenter". Unsure Yes, interesting to look at who's watching and the different ways in which it's measured. Yes, there's a few question marks. Cycle News made the print media shortlist. I wish that was still the case.

Very well done, good proposal that.

I have written some myself, and its not easy trying to justify spend.

I thought some of those numbers looked suspect as well. Regardless, that was a very impressive, in depth presentation. Those guys definitely did their homework. Well done Munn!
