Curious as to what is going on with this and only releasing Stu. Brings a bike with little GNCC development onto the scene and puts it on the box a few rounds in and is now “parting ways” with him. Hoping some more insight on this is released soon. Thoughts?

Sherco forums are mentioning that they parted ways with Ryan Young as well?

Ryan Young is the importer of Sherco Motorcycles, so essentially the same thing.

Just read the Sherco forum. Pretty interesting. Ryan Young has been the trials importer since the beginning and just took over the Enduro line too. Known them for years and have been a dealer for them. Great people and very customer service oriented!! With they’re relationship with the Sherco factory I don’t see them out as the Sherco importer.

I’ve never totally understood the factory one aspect or the “money guy” from Texas. Not sure how they all go together.

I hope we can get some information at some point on what lead to that. Stu is a (the?) fan favorite at GNCCs and came within an eighth of a mile or so of giving them a win at Round 3, but was pretty vocal about all the issues with the bike and team that he was mad about after the race. (No judgement. Giving the win up at that point would seriously piss of about anyone and I'm guessing a lot of him coming unglued was due to that...) Good luck to all parties. I'm a Stu fan, and in 3 rounds, he made those Sherco bikes look VERY good.

they knew what they were getting when they hired him that's part of the reason that fans like him because he's so outspoken and not a robot like most Factory Riders.

What about his brother? Didn’t he work or ride for the same team?

I have to think they spent a lot of money getting a lot of top riders for this year. Maybe they spent too much and with covid going on they had to cut back?

@Spooner that’s a valid theory, but just odd they would cut only Stu

Beta is without a XC1 rider since parting with Jordan Ashburn, GNCC team with experience (Rodney Smith) in place running XC2 and XC3.

The first step would be them getting a 4 stroke that could finish a GNCC consistently.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I was thinking of Wade Young - WADE YOUNG SIGNS WITH SHERCO RACING UNTIL 2021

South African Extreme Enduro king pin, Wade Young, signs three-year contract extension with Sherco Racing.

In what Sherco Racing describe as “three beautiful years of collaboration”, the French manufacturer and South African Wade Young have signed to continue for another three years until the end of the 2021 season.

That successful three-year collaboration has seen both parties grow together to be a leading force in the tough world of Extreme Enduro. The announcement adds to the re-signing of Mario Roman earlier this month to the Sherco Racing team.

By any measure, Young has had a fantastic 2018 winning the Machete, Romaniacs, Megawatt111, Sea To Sky, Wildwood Rock Extreme and Roof of Africa – to name just the major event wins.

His brother’s reply to the Dirt Rider IG post, about “snakes,” is intriguing. Especially for someone who is still riding for Sherco. Hopefully we hear the real story behind all this.

This just in Ryan Dungy buys Sherco and cleans house implementing himself as the top rider in all major championship series.

Which is probably why he isn’t a factory rider.

I’ve often wondered if Beta has tried to pick him up. However after reading through and hearing a bunch of his comments he has made about the Sherco team I don’t think Beta would want that on their team. Plus I would be surprised if he would want to go to another “small” manufacturer. But hey, at least Beta has big tanks and quick fills.

What did he say and where, I'm curious. Not surprised Stu is pretty outspoken. I bet he ends up back at Tely Energy

anytime I seen somebody switched to beta in the xc2 class it seems like they're results weren't as good as when they are on other bikes.

First thing I thought of when I saw that photo. Looks like a bucket on his head.
