Ken's butt patch should read: "SunTan" compliments to James...😊

Unpopular opinion...

he wouldn't be good in the booth because they wouldn't be able to cut out all his mistakes in post with overlays of racing footage. Until I see him do it on one take we're good with what we got. I do like how calm and confident he sounds with analysis though. He doesn't trip over his words like Ricky will do sometimes. Ricky's mind keeps block passing his mouth trying to spit it out fast.

These breakdowns are outstanding! Already my favorite analysis show on SX....hope he does em' for MX too!
It is the best. When the FMOTP breaks it down you can take it to the bank.

I think Roczen is a Chipotle guy mot a Waffle House guy.

This is from The JS7 St Louis breakdown at the top of the thread at about 1:30 in, this is Reed on the Suzuki right? Why does he have #8 on the bike?

I was confused by that too, then I though maybe it was Langston? Was he on that team at any point?

It looks like 43 second lap times so was probably a baseball arena. The 8 is throwing me

My only request for these video is that they ask him, what big line would you have done that they aren’t doing?

A1 he said he would have quaded something, I would love at StL if he looked at the different lines through the little section after the finish. 2 2 1 was the easiest, 2 3 looked the fastest and only Eli was doing 3 2 for most of the race. That was a cool little section.

It's Reed. He had the 8 on the bike for Grant Langston after he was diagnosed with cancer (eye).

If you look at the side number plate it says For GL.

2008 U.S. Open.

Why post this shit? Who cares if it takes 8 takes? Until you see him do it in one take??? Who are you again?

This analysis by James is better than anything else out there by a significant margin

So I am listening to James break down St Louis this morning. My wife overhears it, looks up and says "Is that James? Is he coming back!??"

Cracked me up but I am still amazed at how much interest the man attracts. Pretty cool

Good lord, no way Matthes or JT$ could even make at attempt at this level of insight and quality dialogue.

No matter what we talk about.....there is always THIS type of guy that has to chime in and dazzle us with his brilliance.....

Is it not possible to just watch one of the greatest racers of all time, and just appreciate that he wants to share his vast race knowledge with guys that have little idea what its like to be out there......without trying to find him a new job?

I have never even thought about the heat and the noise and everything these guys are feeling...I'm grateful to listen to this. Who cares if he is good or bad in the booth. I want him to stay right were he is and I will not miss a show.

I couldn't give two shits how he'd do in the booth.......I'd listen closely even if he was terrible......He's one of the few with vast knowledge and experience of the top of our sport. Same with RC.... He's a racer, not a tv announcer..

I've never heard anyone talk about the heat on the back of your neck after going over the line... that gives you a really visceral insight to what it feels like.
