Oh I totally agree James is the exception and not the rule. I just found it funny that every year at A1 during the press conference and the broadcast we hear the same thing, and James was just like “Nah, you can still win it.”

Can I nominate James to take Ricky's job?

Ricky gets a lot of flack but he has certainly improved. How cool would it be to have James as the on track pit reporter though (no offense Daniel Blair). Very excited to see him coming back into the sport.
Other way around, send Ricky back down to tell us about the "hoops" and let James have the booth.

I don't think JS7 is animated enough for broadcast. His MO is more of a laid back conversational style rather than perpetually coming in with "for TV" comments.

Very cool video. Hope he does more of them. Cool to have his commentary.
Ricky's enthusiasm and James' insight combined in one person? David Bailey was pretty laid back on tv too.

Wow, awesome.

AC has to be on cloud 9 right now, that was some high praise from Bubba.

Wow that was awesome! I have become old and jaded but this cat is still a rock star to me! Funny and insightful.
It would be cool if he did this every Sunday or Monday after every SX! SX insights from the couch or something.

I wouldn't want to see him try and be a professional "talking head" on the live broadcast were his every word would be scrutinized but this is perfect. Laid back and fun.

More of these, please, James Stewart. Your commentary is outstanding.
It almost sounded like he missed racing hearing that. Plus you know that he would quad that right now cold.

Not for nothing but he also looked like he was in a bit better shape than his retirement videos. Someone has to predict a comeback...…………

#27 & #259 lining up at Tampa or Daytona?????

Loved the comment about the quad, sure to piss off the "tHaTs nOt a qUaD" guys

There were a fair amount of guys hitting that line in the main event though

I heard RC say on Race Day Live (small chance that maybe it was from an interview before RDL) that he wants James to be there with him in his new career. Something really close to that, anyways. I'm starting to commect some dots, maybe this is just the beginning of James's involvement and they will bring him to the broadcast at some point. Like training, if you will.
