Super impressive. I never figured out why he went into the mechanics area?

was curious about that as well.
Super impressive ride though, it is hard to imagine that kind of pressure as a 16 year old!

Ah that's what I figured at the time. Looked like the mechanic was taking a kick at the brake pedal but I wasn't 100% sure.

Yep...it was the brake vs. Tuf Blox.

But he's 16, and that was his second SX. He just gave everyone a preview of what's to come for him.

I am actually speechless aswell. I mean he rides sx since September? How is that possible..
I really hope he stays injury free, he seems like such a smart rider that already knows his limits. His brother is probably the one that has to catch up now. :D

Did you guys see him manipulating the bike, throwing it down onto the backside of the rhythm's?

It looked like sometimes he screwed up the takeoff, but manipulated the bike well enough that he still managed a clean landing and didn't lose time.

That kid is GOOD. He has a really fun style to watch as well. I really thought he was just taking his time to pass Austin which was mind blowing in only his second supercross.

Amazing to watch, me and my 8-year-old son sitting there cheering him on, saying to each other all race, he is only 16, and only just turned 16.

I honestly thought he would slide backward a little, was expecting Craig to come by with in a couple of laps, then 3-4 laps in he is right on Forkner's pace, watching learning and picked up the pace of the guy who should have and all but did win the championship last year.

Then you think to yourself, Forkner is now 21, a few years in this class and this 16-year-old kid has latched on and picked up his pace.

I know it is just one race, well 3/4s of a race, and we should not get to carried away, but that was dam impressive.

For contrast, Chad was doing he same thing at the same age straight into the premier 250 2T class, but in Australia.

There's a big difference between Archerfield supercross and St Louis.

Everyone that has followed the GP/EMX scene knows that he is the real deal and potentially a generational talent. As crazy as it might sound, i kind of expected a performance like that this early to the season.

Now lets hope that he can stay healthy through this SX season and that he can come into the outdoors as a contender.

This. 3 years ago I was watching this kid ride an 85cc lapping to 3rd place at a Belgium Championship. Year later he went into 250’s and won a few EMX250 races and the german youth championship. Then had a great year riding the A-class and now he is here. He is talented as f****. Hopefully he stays injury free, unlike what his brother unfortunately has right now..

And dude, he learns so quickly. He went 26-11 in his first race of the 2018 EMX250 season on the outdated Suzuki. 1-1 in the last race at Assen. 14 years old at the time.

And everyone knows how freaking tough the EMX250 class is.

Kid was amazing. Is he really only 16?

When you consider that he hasn't grown up with sx the way most young riders do in the US, it makes it even more hardcore

Jett's style and skill belies his years.

He raced his first 250SX in Melbourne, Australia late November 2019 - and was clearing stuff that only a couple of the 450's were attempting.

JL cracked the 2nd fastest lap time at St Louis; 0.16 of a second slower than Cooper and faster than Forkner's best.
