Good interview by Jimmy and Roczen being honest while still being professional. Ken is one of the few guys who will be honest in an interview. Same as how he felt about the KTM last year. One reason I'm a big Roczen fan.

Great insight from Kenny. There is a point when you can push yourself too far. He seems to be in tune with his own individual training and fitness requirements, and communicated the fact concisely and professionally, without berating Aldon. I see a young man wise beyond his years. Looking forward to see how the remainder of his MX season plays out.

Interesting interview for sure, gotta love Roczen being open.
Love the i don't want to be a cyclist part. Condition only goes as far as being fit for both the motos.. Extra time off from training could be spend on testing suspension on different types of tracks ..!

We saw what happened to Stewart after Aldon.... let's see how Roczen's career goes after Aldon....

Damn, didn't even notice how much thinner he looked last year.

I guess if what he's saying is true about feeling like crap towards the end of the year that might explain his drop in form.

Could also shed a little light on why Stewart wasn't happy with Aldon's program.

Agree. He almost seemed to be trying to lead Roczen into the answer that he wanted. His first "question" was about how great it was to see Roczen say that it was on him and not the team or the bike. Roczen seemed to get a little irritated as he proceeded to say "the suspension isn't right on the bike yet".

Aldon info. was interesting to hear though.

That was really interesting!

He made the same comments about Aldons program as the Stewart family (also Red Bull sponsored). Stewart stated they should ride more instead of cycling and other activities. I think Aldons program really ware the riders out (as Roczen stated) and therefore the riders believe they are doing a great job (putting in the time, putting in the effort, going all out). By feeling like they are doing a great job, there confidence raises. And confidence is about 30~50% for those guys (and with confidence comes speed). Therefore Aldons program does work in my opinion. If Roczen can find a way to keep his fitness and confidence on the same level, he will definitely be okay (like Tomac, Martin and other riders).

Stewart stating about Aldon:

I don't think leaving Aldon had any impact on Stewart's career, that's just the easy assumption to make. Seems to me he was still fit enough to win races... and still crashed a lot.

He was never really the same after that big crash that he had at the beginning of the 2010 season. He crashed WAAAAAAY more after coming back in 2011 than he did anytime before that.

Roczen wore out late in the outdoor seasons before he worked with Aldon and also while he worked with him. I guess we will see if he manages to finish strong this year while on his own program again. His odds may be better since he missed half of the SX season so he will have less races under his belt in 2015 compared to 2014.

Jimmy only brought up what everyone else says, particularly people on this site. He had the balls to do it. I think that was an awesome interview with a ton of content in a short amount of time. Kudos to Roczen for just straight up giving answers instead of fluff too. Great interview for both parties.

That interview is why I am a fan of both those guys. Jimmy gave a good interview, he asked what we wanted to hear. It's also nice to have an interviewer that has experience racing. As for roczen that's what I like, don't lie or make excuses. He always says it like it is. He didn't bash aldon but he got his side out while still having respect for each other.

Oh man, this interview is just going to crush JT's fascination with Aldon. I guess it's different when you've always been the guy on the outside looking in. Like he said, Aldon has always been surrounded by the good riders.
