If that is actually a fact, Tomac is a dog.

Most normal people would slip him 10%

If they are having the baby via traditional birth they should research the statistics on estimated delivery dates of first time mothers, especially the ones under 30. Pretty sure the stats are heavily biased toward most 1st-timers being late.

Just sayin'

He is being transparent and people are bagging on him. This could have very easily been a PR " Joey suffered a practice crash and has a bruised wrist and will sit out this weekend" and nobody would bat an eye because he isn't in the championship hunt.

Also, spare me the "he doesn't have a ride for next year this is his chance to show what he's got!" The people in charge have a pretty good idea what they're getting with Joey Savatgy, and he will end up with a ride. Good for him for making this decision and being up front about it.

I had no problem with Joey slowing and letting him pass but if Tomac didn't give him 10-20% that's messed up.

I was hoping for Miss Budds Creek picture.
At my job they would have your last check waiting when you walked back in the door.
You signed a contract to work. It is your responsibility to uphold your end.

They even have a policy to check your personal problems at the door.

Who in there right mind would miss there child's birth? Child comes before anything.. Wouldn't matter if it was for a championship or a ride. No...

Child comes before anything.. Wouldn't matter if it was for a championship or a ride. No one is going to miss there own child's birth for there work.
That's easy to say when you have money. Some women have been back at work 2 days after birth.

It's easier to quit when you have money. It's also harder to get up for work when you sleep on silk sheets and easy to get up when you sleep on the ground.

He probably has a bank of sick/FMLA days he needs to burn before heading out the door. Silly

Congrats Joey, you are making the right decision because even in today's technically advanced medical age things go sideways all the time and your wife will need you there.

I mean, no disrespect meant to RC, I'm a big fan and like the guy, but he isn't necessarily the guy to take marriage advice from. I obviously don't know, or care, how or why any of his personal business went down. It's his business not mine. Also, RC would be winning the championship which changes the discussion. Does anyone really think if Joey was in the title hunt he wouldn't be racing? With Kawi not picking him up and with him being out of contention this decision is an easy one.

Yep, Tomac confirmed he didn't give Savatgy a cent.

Kind of a d-bag move.. but, so was Savatgy's attitude toward that waitress a while back, but that's a whole other unrelated can of worms.

I prefer the term mid-husband. Anyway, I'm not a doctor but my wife plays one at her day job so I have a little knowledge by osmosis.

It doesn't matter, Tomac was going to rail him like a Vegas stripper in the next corner anyway. Let's move on from a semi-farcical race that happened 10 months ago.
