Yeah, but I still struggle with Eli's Monster signing which basically ties him to the USGPs and Monster cup, thereby making MXdN an "only if its convenient" proposition. I don't like that one bit. Seems like Monster owns a piece of Eli in some way and I hate that.

Yet RedBull and Rockstar athletes have no problem going to great lengths to race the Monster sponsored MXdN.

Furthermore Monster only makes Eli race the USGP, and not the MXdN. Strange when you consider viewership, etc.

It's all a little weird and doesn't sit well with me. But then again, I don't know all the behind the scenes stuff so whatever. I'm just a lowly fan, one of the millions of people to whom these companies advertise to, by way of athletes/appearances/personalities/etc. I mean, maybe I have the wrong impression but it's their job to make sure that potential customers get the RIGHT impression. A good impression. So I don't know. Whatever.

Don't forget the impression Kawasaki made... Or didn't. And no bonus money for a podium.

So... a video about a rider and his dad turns into a whinge-fest...

Seriously... if you don't like the video move along.

Awesome edit. Amazing footage and story telling. I got John's Autograph at a mountain bike race in VT in 98-99 I think. Still have it at home!
