Brea, CA (January 3, 2018) – Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team’s Justin Bogle will be sidelined for the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series opener at Anaheim, Calif. on Saturday. The Cushing, Okla. native is recovering from a practice crash that has kept him off the bike for an extended period of time.

“The off-season was rough on me. I had a crash at the Monster Energy Cup in October, and then had a similar issue while practicing in Florida. The second crash set me back. It’s tough, because both crashes were freak accidents. That’s how it goes in this sport sometimes,” stated Justin Bogle. “I had high expectations coming into the 2018 Supercross series. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to reach some of those goals now. I need to get my body figured out before I can get back to racing. I should be able to line up to the gate soon.”

Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing team manager, Jeremy Albrecht, echoed Bogle’s thoughts on the situation. “We are bummed that Justin is going to miss Anaheim 1. It’s the beginning of a new series, and Bogle wants to start things off on the right foot. However, injuries happen in this sport. He will be evaluated after Anaheim. At that time we’ll have a better idea when Justin will line up.”

Regardless, Justin Bogle will be in attendance this weekend. “I’ll be at Anaheim 1 to meet with fans and help out the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing Team in any way that I can. The goal is to also learn and work with the team. That way I will be fully prepared when I come back to racing.”

What a bummer for Bogle and JGR. He was one of the guys I thought was capable of perhaps competing for a win this season after his breakout season last year during the outdoors. Not sure will reach that level in SX this year if he has a slow/late start.

Sounds to me (I'm speculating) like he's struggling to adjust to the cognitive changes that he's experiencing since his concussion at MEC since he said he dealt with "a similar issue".

Hope he is back on the bike soon. It's such a bummer to see guys go out before the season even starts.

Damn. Hopefully when he comes back , he comes back swinging! I'm eager to see how his season goes. He was starting to catch fire this past year or so. Kid definitely has the speed and fitness.

Bummed for Bogle. He is a wild card when he is feeling it.
Where did his off-season crash occur? Goat Farm?

Big fan of Bogle but in my opinion this why Phil should have been kept on a 450 for this reason. Imagine the sponsors that have supported this team only to have a Rider miss the opening round.

Damn... I honestly felt like 2018 was going to be his year of possibly an sx win and a week in week out top 7 guy. His riding outdoors this past year was impressive and honestly thought he figured some things out. Sucks to here he won't be on the line this weekend, who couldn't like the guy... style for days and a great personality.

Miss Anaheim 1? Is he going to be dating on of the Trophy Girls? -5 for capitalization.

"I had a crash at the Monster Energy Cup in October, and then had a similar issue while practicing in Florida. The second crash set me back. It’s tough, because both crashes were freak accidents. "

In his own words "similar". When you have 2 it's no longer random, it's a pattern. He got cross jumped into at MEC. Real bad luck there, not much you can do about it.
