I wouldn’t give Justin Hill, shit. He’s pissed away the last two years at JGR. Give that contract to Davalos. At least we know he’s in shape and has won a race in the last year. Hill has produced nothing for results.

You’re right, I forgot about that part.

It wouldn't be a bad gig if he was at the later end of his career but it's really just starting.

Hill on the other hand, fits right in for an SX only ride. I personally would give that ride to Davalos. At least you know what you're getting with him.

Hope Justin locks down that ride and gets things figured out in his head......... he is young, he has a solid head on his shoulders..... it will come to him, hopefully before the rides run out.........

The suzuki is crap. Everyone who has gotten on both 250 and 450 has seen their results take a hit. JGR is doing what they can, but the bikes aren't up to par with the rest of the field. I think him jumping on a Honda will be a big positive for him.

Me too, up until his recent interview where he says he's going to take at least a month off. I'm sorry but if you're unemployed and you really want a job, you make sure you're out there and visible during contract season. He said he doesn't want to do MEC, the same race that got Barcia a factory contract just a few years ago and the only time he'll get to prove himself against the top riders this off season.

Meanwhile Hill pieced together a bike from his brother's leftover parts back home and has at least been riding and training, staying on people's radars.

I like Marty but at this point Hill seems to want it more, and you can't argue that Marty has more potential in SX than Justin.

Weston Peick got better till he got his face landed on... Justin Bogle got his best results on the suzuki.. the suzuki seems to come with freak injuries.. Bogle got landed on, broke his back and arm, Peick got his face landed on..

up until this year, suzuki was bringing a knife to a gun fight, now they will be able to compete this year after a year of development by the race team..

I hope Hill comes out and kills it so JGR will finally fire jbone
Well based on some reports, unfortunately, most at JGR may be getting let go

Yeah because it’s jbones fault his rider didn’t put the necessary effort. I guess Mitch should have fired himself after his first attempt with Justin. Justin has had plenty of “shots” and squandered all but 1 250 SX season.

Outdoors on PC was a joke. 1 win in SX for JGR 250 outdoors we’re a joke. He begs and cries about just wanting to be on a 450 then does nothing his rookie year. What was his highlight? 2 top 10’s in 17 rounds of 450 sx? Now he’s “more motivated than ever” and wants to “right the wrongs”. The kid is a salesman. It’s unfortunate that guys like Barcia and Deano have had to rebuild themselves as privateers but Hill keeps getting a shot. The only upside is MCR is very performance based so at least he won’t be wasting to much of their money.
"Outdoors was a joke"

I feel like I'm the only one that noticed his first year on JGR where he moved up to 450s at High Point (I think Bogle was hurt?).

I have mentioned this in just about every JH thread bashing him. But he had more than a few top 5s and was sniffing the podium in a few moto's too. He didn't light the world on fire but his results were more than respectable for moving up mid season as a 450 rookie.

I think the poor Motoconcepts team overestimates their ability to turn a rider into a top 5 dude. Credit to Malcom-he recognized the need to get fit and he did it, and probably recognized it was his last chance to do so. I would not bet on Hill getting the same memo and I'm shocked that this team would consider him. There are other choices, and better one's at that.
Maybe Malcolm's hard working attitude will rub off on Justin. I believe Malcolm has been working with Gareth Swanepoel for well over a year now. Maybe Justin will sign up to work with him too this off season.

I think it is a huge mistake by MCR to hire Justin. I hope Justin proves me wrong, but I would not put my money on it.

I think they're looking at the wrong "Justin". Justin Bogle would be a great fit and the performance based compensation would be a positive for both Justin and the team.

If he does end up with MCR, I'm just curious what Tony's reaction would be if he pulls another "Nashville Night" somewhere along the way......

Or win an SX main event on the OLDER Suzuki generation 250, and the bikes be crap?

Ha, dude Brayton is 34, Justin is 24. One bad year on a weird 450 team isn’t gonna kill him.
But one half of a good season in 7 seasons as a pro hasn't exactly left people beating down the door to get him on a bike either. Kid's had plenty of opportunities, and has only put it together for one 5 month stretch. I expect more of the same.

Why? No deffinatly should take it if it is there still. A Sx only team still keeps him racing indoprs. They are a top flight team with support that make it possiable that savagery could win main event keeping himself relevant. He could also put a clause in starting that should he be offered a fill in ride that includes the nationals he can be released, otherwise he is automatically still available for the outdoors as he would be a free agent again.

Hill has awesome talent but he’s carrying too much weight. He needs a serious trainer.

I really don't believe that the JGR Suzuki is bad at all. They have enough resources and a great team of experienced guys to build good bikes.

In their case, the results are only as good as their riders.

The same can be said about any team - you want to contend for a championship..sign a proven top three rider. Anything else is a gamble.

Its a mindset issue. He thinks he trains enough and trains correctly but it aint working.

As you said, a serious trainer can turn that around. I hope Hill realizes that before he ges too old.

Ask yourself this, "hypothetically", if Hill was with Baker grinding away in the heat...eating properly..in bed early..

I will never forget when after his decent results in Pala this year, Hill proceeded to claim that it had just been a "attitude" issue and that he, and I quote; "I´m probably one of the best shaped guys out there".

Yeaaaaaah about that....
