Yea Barreda has clearly been the fastest rider the last 3 years but navigation problems, crashes or bike issues have been his downfall.

He pulled out after breaking his knee and riding for another two days. He was in too much pain to continue. The man is a warrior.

Price was on the gas the last few days but started off the rally slow. He also was caught up in the stage where all the leaders got lost. I thought for a few days that Yamaha was gonna be the bike to stop the KTM streak.

I think you're thinking of Sherco, which uses a bunch of WP parts like frame, swingarm, radiators, suspension, ect.

I don't think GASGAS has any affiliation with KTM, WP, or ROTAX.

It's cool to see Walkner finally getting the Dakar win, quite a nice progression from racing MX to rally raid and especially after all the troubles he had in the last couple years..

Gasgas are riding re-branded ktm's this year. Wanted to get back to Dakar, but they don't have a bike ready yet.
