This guy deserves his own thread.

8 time GNCC Champion (in a row!), 67 overall wins. Not to mention ISDE, Full Gas Sprint Enduro, National Enduro and other random wins he has.

Greatest GNCC Racer of all time, maybe the best East Coast Off Road Racer ever? Hell of a career anyway you slice it.

He’s still gonna be doing select racing the next couple years it sounds like but he’s done chasing full time series. I guess this is the off road version of going SX only kinda?

If indeed he is going to do selected races, it sounds like a far better thing than just doing the grind and risk of SX 'only'.

I hope he enjoys himself, whatever he actually does. He may have set himself up quite nicely after all those years of success.

Stand up guy too. At one of the Florida GNCC's he took almost an hour of his time talking to some of our local kids after he had finished racing for the day. Bet he made a lot of lifelong fans after that.

Sounds like he’s planning on doing a few outdoor nationals next year. He’s done pretty well in the past

The hot rumor at the GNCC’s is Reed helping with a small team for Kailub to run the nationals. Like I said, a RUMOR. Could be massively false, I don’t see Reed dumping money into anything but maybe helping get the team structure he needs.

When KR raced Unadilla couple years back he was ridiculously fast. If memory serves me right, he was running top 5 both motos until some incidents and bad luck cost him a good finish.

I would hope to see him come out and do a few races on the 150 again. Then again, being newly retired, he might not want the punishment and the roost

Kailub is the shit, so close to 9 in a row, lost one to whibs in his early xc1 days.

His national enduro title is most impressive because he doesn’t really like those conditions.

I’ve met kailub away from racing and dude is intense, and thoughtful.

Congrats to the 557 on a great career it’s been fucking awesome to watch.

Maybe he can start training with Betts for the mud sx series.
In seriousness it would be cool to see him score some Mx points.
