The few Snapshots posted of Roczen practice laps have looked smooth and Fast! Since he was a bit faster than our National Stars last year outdoors, I wonder how he will compare to 2018 World Class Speedsters?

I do believe a fit & healthy Roczen would beat Herlings at both sides of the pond atm, he has raced at most of the tracks before. Just hope Roczen will get back to the level he was at and we get to see those 2 race eachother at the mxon next year well not just those 2 but all the top mxgp & ama riders. JH84 could say this isn't even my final form. He'll be something different next year. (I think)

Was Herlings racing yet when Roczen won the world title? That was a long time ago.

I want to point out one thing that Tek14 (and lots of GP fans) miss: The GPs are roughly equivalent to the AMA "regional" championship. You can make a case that the GP regulars may be faster on average right now, but it's not like the AMA title is equivalent to the British national championship or the Belgian national championship. Lots of riders from all over the world come to America to race in what was, for much of the last 35 years, the most prestigious race series in the world. Up until recently, the "World" champions were not as fast as our "Regional" champs.

maybe Kenny should race a USGP in future , or race the MXON on a bigbike ...until then , we dont know

Yes he did. Roczen turned Pro at 15 yrs old in April 2009. Herlings turned Pro that same year (15yrs old) at the MXON. They raced against one another for the next 3(?) years.

Roczen was a year ahead in MX2 , Roczen started 2009 season , Herlings 2010 season .

Roczen was runner up when Musquin won in 2010 , Musquin left to USA
Herlings was runner up when Roczen won in 2011 , Roczen left to USA
Herlings won 2012

all i can say is that i (along with Kenny and everyone else in the motocross world) wish he had never had that injury. i would have loved to watch him dominate indoors and out and go against Herlings and AC. it's a total bummer but it is what it is.

As I stated before, talent doesn't know geography! This USA vs GP is bullshit as there are guys from both series capable of winning in the other series.

Exhibit A.

Roczen was quite a bit faster, but this was a great battle between the two. Time has past, and I think both guys have gained speed. Herlings is built like a brick shithouse compared to the normal rider. No way to know who's faster while healthy currently, but I guarantee that Roczen was foaming at the mouth watching Herlings stick it to our guys at Iron Mountain.

Herlings couldn't beat Cairolli this year......

(But for the record I said a while ago Herlings would be up to speed in 3 months, I finally got something correct. Now if Kawasaki can win the shoot out Smile

I would like to point out that the British championships until recently had people from all over the world racing in them ( not sure they specifically came to race them)

Trolls don't last 5 years on a MX forum. I'm not trolling, it's my honest opinion. Herlings had an up and down ROOKIE 450 year. He's been fantastic this second half. Anyone not expecting him to win multiple championships from here on out is crazy. I believe Jeffrey is faster than Kenny.

I would say Kenny is already winning the only race that really matters to him right now, the recovery from a significant injury.

I get your point, I also think Gajser (if he keeps healthy) will win neat year, but I certainly wouldn't count out Herlings winning a few and finishing runner-up ...call me crazy
