Looked good all night, got a little tired in the LCQ, then got nervous.
Looks like the kid has a future in SX, how's his outdoor skills.?

Jayce Pennington and Challen Tennant also looked good for rookies

Thought Jerry Robin would of made the main.?

Lastly, How old is Vann Martin.?

Shaw was awesome! He was rock solid in that lcq until the big mistake. Looked like he belonged out there!

And how bout John short! Came from way back to qualify in that lcq then finished 11th in the main! Some local Texas boys coming on strong!

I was so bummed for Lane. He's a really good kid with tons of talent. He'll get it this weekend.

I believe Vann Martin is around 25 years old, turned pro in 2012 if I remember right.

Jerry Robin took a hard hit in practice, red flagged the practice if I remember right. I imagine that took the wind out of his sails a bit.

John Short was really impressive! He came from way back in that LCQ (I think they said he was 9th on lap 1). He ended up with a top 10 after Hartranft was docked.

Yeah, Shaw did well in the LCQ. He was taking a nice tight line in that corner, but that lap he got pushed out into the ruts by Short (who was riding excellent) and hit them crooked and got all crossed up. Great confidence booster to lead that race for so long...he'll be making some mains this season.

I am not just being biased for a Texas racer, because Lane is hard not to root for.
Lane is a blue collar type of rider, that has worked for everything he has achieved.
Parents are hard working people that raised a very humble, and hard working young man.
I wish all the best for this young man, and hope he meets his potential at the pro level.
East coast 250's are delivering the excitement so far...Can't wait for Tampa.

It was sweet watching him lead that LCQ, I felt so bad for him after watching him hit the concrete floor. I know I only felt 10% as bad as he did in that moment but damn I was let down hard after watching that. Still, I’m sure he will have plenty of potential, I look forward to seeing him this weekend

Lane did one outdoor, qualified and was running 22nd at ironman last year . He had bike problems both motos . But proved to himself he’s capable .

Sx skills are definitely improving as he’s only been riding 8 years since true beginner . 100% barely knew how to ride at age 12.

lanes positivity, hard work And showmanship have gotten him this far . We hope we hear a lot more talk about him in the near future .

if any of you guys go to any sx races , stop by the Pit . He strives and really is a people person . He gave away a fly helmet and all his gear this weekend in dallas .

Lane posted on FB about that incredible moment in his life. After he hit the deck, he remounted and the crowd went wild for him, then he did a heel clicker over the line and got a standing ovation. He mentioned that he had goose bumps and it brought tears to his eyes. If that doesn't light a fire I don't know what would.
