Anybody ever been to this race? It's going on right now at Glen Helen. I went last night because i had a buddy doing the team night race. Scouted the track a bit at night on the pit bike as well. In my opinion, these guys are nuts....all these man made obstacles are insane and wouldn't even think of riding through it. Hats off to these off road guys.....

I've attempted twice. Both times on my 200 at the time. Timed out on LD2 both times. Made it over the tire wall once, and that was with help from other riders and just picking the bike up. Numerous spots in LD2 that are just brutally exhausting and I still wonder how I got through some of them
Next time I try, I'll be trying to borrow someone else bike haha. This year I just helped some of my buddy's cut in some fresh trail for them to tackle. After making one trail I am really glad I'm not racing it...

I've done it a couple of times and always timed out in the second race. It is without a doubt an ass kicker. The last time, it was near a 100 degrees and I swear that it was 110 in that damn canyon with the dry waterfall. The dust, heat and other riders are as hard to deal with as the terrain.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the 450 nationals

I think the thing to do would be to get a cheap KDX 200 off of Craigslist and go through it enough to be a runner.
Then you'd have a decent little bike you wouldn't have to worry about! LaughingLaughingLaughingLaughing

I raced the first few years and won the amateur class, but haven't gone back in a few years. It's pretty fun, just SUPER hot and has a good but of poison oak.
