I can't understand how Stephen Rubini has come straight from Euro125 to Factory Kawasaki MX2 whilst Jago Geerts & Maxime Renaux are in EMX250.
Sometime you need the right connections ... and manager ;-)

Anyone have the times yet? (Eastern times preferably lol) I'm in Mexico on vacation and would love to chime in while I'm sitting on the beach

Any one willing to bet how anstie will do? He seems to have gelled with the husky and looks at home on it.
Tough to say. He's looked great on the 450 in the pre-season races but MXGP is genuinely stacked this year so he'd do well to break...

I think the top 4 are a different level. However I think he can happily mix with the likes of desalle, nagl, Pauli, Simpson, stribos etc
Searle will have to get top 10s at least to get a decent ride. Guys like Seewer, Paturel and Lieber have to make the transfer to MXGP in 2018. Seewer already has a ride with Suzuki for '18.

I don't know how long Anstie is signed with Husky, but I see a top 10 contender in him at least.

Searle has scored two 3rd place finishes in 4 years, and has not finished in the top 5 in 2015 and 2016. With his current that could make it 3 years in a row not getting top 5's.

I think Anstie signed a 3 year contract, with 1 year MX2 and 2 MXGP.
I'm curious to see how he does, i think he will be out of the top 10 in many many races, however when he's on i could see him surprise some people. He won 13 motos in 15&16 and for comparison Ferrandis, Jonass and Seewer won 5 combined.

Bit of topic but wish there wasnt an mx2 age rule. Imo they would have been championship contenders in mx2 this year.

TKO was impressive last year, but then again i think it was his 4th year in the EMX250 class.
Prado was racing EMX125 a bit over a year ago, and got a podium in MX2 after less then a year in EMX250.
Same for Sanayei, guy comes in from a different continent, doesn't know the tracks and impresses mightily in his debut season

Obviously i cannot do a forecast who has a higher ceiling, but Prado and Sanayei seem to have a quicker growth path. I can see TKO getting more points, but Prado and Sanayei having better one off results.

Kjer Olsen went 5-7 in Assen and 7-11 in Switzerland.

I think he could be a solid top 10 guy with top 5 moto finishes here and there. Maybe even podiums if thing go his way.

You must mean Friday. And he has to start in the Qualifying Race to be able to start on race day. Desalle had to do the same last year and retired after one lap in Qualifying.

He will do a "Desalle". Just put in the laps necessary for getting points in the motos.

No one knows because he don't know. He hasn't ridden the bike since this injury so tomorrow will be the first test...if he 's lucky he don't have too much pain
