Has anyone heard anything from other tracks having super regionals? Looks like mx sports is two weeks passed due announcing the schedule. Is California the hold up?

Suppose to be announced last week, somebody said the end of this week. The longer it drags out the less likely it happening this year

I can not for the life of me see how they could social distance everyone at LL.

They should do the rest of the area qualifiers and use those qualifying positions to fill the gates at Loretta’s. If the states were super regionals are suppose to be held are worried about social distancing.

They can’t but that is in August. I think they should finish the rest of area qualifiers and use those qualifying positions for loretta’s.

It is too late to do area qualifiers. The regionals should be what they do. The only thing "super" about them is that they are letting anyone in.

yeah no way to get areas in. I'm really wondering if attendance is going to be low

No possible way they can socially distance everyone at Loretta’s. If they pull off the “Super Regionals” (and that’s a big if) you might be qualifying for a race that can’t happen. I hope I’m wrong.

I saw a photographer is taking pre pays for the WW Ranch super regional - he knows more than we do I guess. I expect something to be announced soon.

I'd imagine there's a couple of states holding things up, mainly California. Loretta's will happen, I'll put money on it. it's just a matter of how they are going to hold qualifying. We may be running qualifiers at the ranch if something isn't announced very soon. Still plenty of time though.

Maybe this is a good year to support your local Mx series and track owners....

Every dealer in this region is reporting record sales for the last 2 months. It's almost impossible to find a kids bike on the floor.

As a track owner we've had our best April and May ever.

Our state championship series fired back up yesterday with it's best turnout in 10 years.

I'm just having a problem seeing how anyone would predict low turnouts. It seems like most (at least in our region) just want to get back to some form of normalcy.

I agree with racerx930; if anything I think these super regionals are gonna get super turnouts.

That's great news. We expected maybe 750-1,000 for the Bulldog GNCC in Georgia over the weekend, ended up with a record for that event of something like 1,825 riders...

The regional schedule will be out her in a couple of hours. It will be a different year for sure, but we will get it done.

They could split the series over 3 weeks instead of one week!

That would be reducing to 30% occupancy

I wasn't at the race to actually see the numbers in person, but I think it needs to be stated that there were 33 riders in the supermini class! Crazy and very cool.

We were at Silver Dollar MX in GA. this past weekend at a local race. It supposedly had around 800 riders. A class was awesome. Very fast group

Just registered for the S.E. youth regional. Not too happy it’s at muddy creek though, it’s 11 hours from me (live in Tampa)

I did a local race here yesterday, we had 190 pre-entries and I'm sure over 250 riders once race day registration was complete. I'd say at our last "pre Covid" race we may have had 80-90 entries at the same track.

I would have never predicted that this thing would have had a positive impact on moto, but at least at the grass roots level it seems to have.

Fully agree with your point - I don't think LL is going to be hurting for turnouts. The moto crowd isn't exactly a "risk averse" demographic anyway.

You can always give the slot to someone who would be happy.

With capped riders does this change riders signing up for say 3 classes then dropping one if they qualify for all 3?
Or
You only have been allowed to enter in 2 classes in the past.
Some reason i remember riders entering in more than 2 classes

Briar Cliff in Ohio was scheduled the youth regional and MX Sports just ups and moves it to Baja in Michigan? That's BS that BC did not get to hold one of the three when they were on the original schedule.

Red Bud in Michigan is being delayed in July. I will laugh if the state comes in and shuts Baja down and they have a whole lot of egg on their face.
