August 24, 2017 - Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Martin Davalos will be withdrawing from his AMA Pro Motocross fight with just the final round remaining. Due to a crash in Moto 2 of the Budds Creek National, Davalos has been evaluated by doctors, who recommend that he not put weight on his knee as a preventative measure.

The final round takes place this coming Saturday August 26th in Crawfordsville, Indiana, where Dean Wilson and Zach Osborne will continue their well fought battles for the podium with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team.

That's too bad. He's been riding great!

I'm not going to bag on him anymore (not that I did) about the 250 class. He is riding where he can get a job. We as fans want to see him succeed in the 450 class and the potential is there, just not the jobs. That's not on him.

That moves Herlings 1 spot closer to top 5.

Herlings should be in the top 5 relatively easy but yes that is one less guy to deal with.

I bet for some guys who would just be riding this event out to not get hurt and move on will be motivated slightly to stay ahead of Herlings.

If Herlings gets a top 3 and a top 5 I think he can consider it a success. Maybe he goes 1-1, who knows but a couple of top 5s I would look at as being excellent given that he's just showing up on a different bike..

Absolutely amazing how he has been riding this summer, slowly becoming a fan of his. Hope he gets back on the bike soon and has a great season in '18.

Shame for him. He has been superb this season outdoors, one of the biggest surprises of the year.

My wife even commented last month that he's not falling as much.

That's funny. I was thinking that this will move him one spot closer to last!

With this depleted 450 field, Tomac riding for the championship...I see no reason Herlings won't finish in the top 3 both motos...that includes 1st place...he could easily win both motos as he could finish 3rd.

Davalos wouldn't have had anything for him.

That would have been his last ride for Husavarna.

I think it's a mistake for him to go back to 250s, obviously he is a much better big bike racer.

Paycheck comes first I guess...

Quick, someone tell him he can't point out of the 450 class.
