It’s been said he’s not on the team next year that’s why people are saying they hope he goes to a good team. Not that they want him off star. I would rather see star keep him instead of cooper
Nah Star should keep Cooper and get rid of Nichols. He’s their weakest link.
Pretty sure Cooper is signed through 2021 anyway.

Cooper signed a 3 year contract extension last month.

I didn’t realize Star weren’t planning on keeping him. I can sort of understand with the rumoured changes that will be happening with that team but that’s a bummer. Sure hope he finds a good team.

The family and kid is legit. When I was running the B class at Honey Lake this young man came over during the riders meeting and introduced himself. He said” hi my name is Jesse” while sticking his hand out for me to shake. Little did I know he was the young man ripping a 60 in the 85 class.
I rode at Mustang which is a track they ran at the time. I would push Jesse and the kid would rip obviously. Jake was a snot nosed kid whom ran the track and Ty was in diapers. Tara ran the pit with Ty attached to her while Jerry ran the track. The family is pure moto. My buddy and I went to their ranch in Eastern NV and it was littered with track and farm land.
I was heart broken when I heard Jesse had passed. I was living in Alaska at the time and took up his number in respect to the young man. Jesse had some big crashes and if I remember correctly lost a kidney in one of his crashes. The family is pure moto but do have their kids interests in mind. Whatever decision they make should be be fully supported. Very few people have gone through what the Masterpool’s have gone through and still push through.

That is a great post. Much respect to their family.

I was really excited to see Ty ride this year and so far he's been fantastic. Hope the future is bright for him. That pic above is totally badass. Loved seeing him stretch the leap. Kid is fun to watch. I'll be cheering for him.

That picture is so epic!!! Love that he went for the leap. Sounds like an awesome family and the dedication to his brother going across the line was so freakin' cool. Can't wait to see more from Ty. Hope his leg is alright.

I hope he can find a way on to a good team. Would have liked to see him on a PC bike but they are pretty full. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to have him on a team though even if he doesn’t ride SX this season, most teams lose at least one guy during SX.
Um Star is a pretty good team. You watch the races?
Yes I watch every race. I’m sure by now you have figured out why your comment makes you sound like you have abundant knowledge of the sport and I don’t.

Man yeah I was so bashing his bike and current team......Ha! If you had any idea on what was going on in free agency then you would know what I meant. But you don’t so you chose to comment on something you were uneducated on and put words in my mouth. Ha!

Good for this kid for coming back, taking some holeshots, and leading more than just a few laps. In this day where 25-28 year olds seem to rule this class its fun to see some younger guys (who the class is designed for) come in and be in the mix.

I am curious as to why he hasnt raced supercross? I know that he has a brother that passed away in a racing accident, but was it on a supercross track? If it is just risk mitigation, I guess it makes sense, but it is going to be tough to make this financially viable only racing outdoors.

He just skipped 2020 SX, he will race SX starting in 2021. You have to keep in mind he came out of the amateurs early. If he would have taken the usual path he would be in this year's (actually '21's) rookie class with Robertson, Mumford, Frye, Schwartz, etc. They will all race SX for the first time in 2021.

Is that what you tell yourself when you get smoked by a kid?

Very fluid and efficient riding style. Resembles a GP rider. Hardly ever took a foot off the pegs in those long bowl turns. Clearly a good starter. Jumped Larroco's leap countless times when many of the top dogs never jumped it once. Looks like he's got a shitload of potential. Seems likeable and intelligent in the interviews.

Yeah, it seems weird to sign Cooper to a 3 year deal. Unless Star expects to have a 450 team soon. Hmmmm....

I don't follow the podcasts/rumor mills but I was under the impression that Star was definitely going to have a 450 team of some kind in the very near future
