Just listening to this weeks pulpmx and I had this epiphany that Matthes has this over the top style and ultra hip volcabulary that reminds me a little of the Jim Rome show. It's mostly the insider too hip lingo Wink

Yeah I know Steve is core, just observing the broadcast/podcast style. Not a knock whatsoever it's a grin to listen to most of the time. Love the segment this week where he calls AC and they are discussing the incident where"Bam" runs it in but doesn't and Steve equates Justin to a "pet tiger". Good stuff!

No disrespect to Matthes, but he doesn’t compare to Jim Rome. Matthes is very good on his moto podcast, but Rome transcends sports and is very articulate, well versed and intelligent in several areas. Matthes comes off as intelligent, but he is not nearly articulate as Rome.

Literally every guy from SoCal shares their “ultra hip lingo”

I met with Jim Rome in a business setting many years ago when he still worked as a local mouth in San Diego sports talk radio.

He set the bar back then as the most massive douche I ever met in my life so far, and keep in mind I deal with contractors every day.

It is a insult to Matthes to be compared to Jim Rome. As Steve will likely understand, that would be like comparing Steve to Rod Black or Darren “the douche” Dutchyshen who also likes to be known as “The Honey Spitter” (I am not shitting you!). All of them have inflated heads and egos and have accomplished nothing in sports other than being a talking head.
