I think the closet hotel is Hotel Talisi. It is only 10 minutes from the track, right in downtown Tallassee. I attached the link below. If you plan on checking in later in the evening make sure they understand that and will be awake, mom & pop hotel.

I usually just go back to 85 an head on south toward Montgomery to 80 and get off there..its about 25 miles or so and theres all the brand name hotels and eatin joints and stuff , I think the Best Western or Days Inn used to give a discount for racers..look on the Monster Mountain website and they may have some info on it. Good luck and have fun..

That place is nasty. 475 is 25 minutes farther away but there are lots of newer hotels there, ones without bugs & god knows what else crawling around.

That where you got your kooties? Seriously it's a 1920's hotel, I like it. They also have a good lunch buffet. You should check out the street festival they have every year, bring a cooler and get ready for some serious buck dancin. They have a ton of bands and it's the only time you can drink on the streets of Tallasee without going to jail.

918, we are heading out around 5AM. Weather right now here sucks, right on the edge of freezing rain and several inches of snow. Sounds like MM may get rain tonight early tomorrow, but looks decent Sat/Sun.

Thanks for the hotel info everyone!

It's cold/rainy right now in Montgomery (thurs 7:50 central) It's supposed to be in the 60's and sunny Saturday! It may be a bit damp Saturday morining in spots, but the track will dry quickly. I predict perfect conditions sometime during the weekend. How many days you going to be there? I may drop in Sunday or late Saturday, let me know i'll bring a grill and cook up some hamburgers or something.
