The big behemoth Stewart is back, he appears to be fitter than ever (according to Donn at Swapmoto) and well rested after his femur injury, especially after foregoing any of the Outdoors grind this season.
I personally think he’s a top 3 title contender if all goes well, collecting a few Mains in the process. If he gets some confidence around him he could be surprising.
Where does the big fulla finish this SX season?

Last year he definitely impressed me at several rounds before the injury. If he stays healthy (really hope so) I think he’s a top 5, or top 3 threat every weekend. I’d love to see him win a couple.

Last year he had speed to podium. He just needs to stay healthy and start better.

I'm hoping he makes it through the season. Dude showed some serious speed, but it's a long season and he has a tendency to crash. I'll put him at 6th overall for the season with some podiums sprinkled in...but I hope he proves me wrong and finishes higher than that.

This is a hard post to argue. I don’t think he belongs in title contender talk just yet, but he definitely belongs near the top of anyone’s dark horse list.

Realistically speaking, I think he will be around 5-12.

Gotta think of all the competition in the class this year...

-Webb
-Tomac
-Roczen
-Anderson
-Musquin
-Osborne
-Savatgy
-AC

I don't think it is unreasonable to expect those 8 guys to beat Mookie on a fairly regular basis. Plus there are other guys on a level similar to Mookie like Deano, Baggett, Brayton.

Tough competition. Hope he stays healthy!

I see him as a threat for top 3's, but a consistent 5th to 7th finisher... I like Mookie, but the talent pool is just getting deeper.

Step one for mookie is finishing a season. Dont worry about wins or podiums unless theyre right in front of his face for the taking.

Yep. I don’t think he’s at the top status yet with Tomac, Webb, Anderson, Musquin and Roczen. He will probably be in the next group of 5th-10th place guys. He may get a podium or two throughout the season though.

Yep... Funny, I guess if I had said 5th to 9th I would have got a few thumbs up instead of down...

You’ll get thumbs down all day long unless you lie and say Mookie is gonna win the championship. Then you’ll have a ton of thumb ups. This is vital, remember??

Same as before, super fast and super inconsistent. Hopefully he stays injury free.

Hes a solid top 10 guy. Maybe win a heat. Maybe top 5 a main. I hope he can get through a whole season. I love seeing him ride with his dreads and his whoop destroyer style.

Will be glad just to have him back at the races. One of the few that brings personality to the track.

What Mookie have you guys been watching over the years? He's a 10-15 guy that probably won't make it the whole season.

Better than James 2016, worse than James 2013/2014.

Dunno, but I like rooting for him and the racing is always more fun to watch when the Mookie Train is on the tracks.

Plus you forgot Barcia and a healthy AP7, and even the 22 on the JGR bike. Of course injuries will take their toll as usual in SX, but when you put the list of factory guys on the table it's hard to see Mookie much better than 8-12 in all honesty.

3 rounds if he doesn’t learn patience. If he does 17 rounds I’ll be shocked.

Love the Stewart’s, JS7❤️, but racecraft is important, and a bit boring.😅

I mean, he crashed out at round 2 last year going Mach 5 through the whoops....

I feel we haven't gotten a good read on him. He could podium or he could get 12th... neither would surprise me since we saw him for 1.5 rounds in 2019

This will get some thumbs down, but just my opinion...If he stays on 2 wheels I think he is a real strong contender, definitely top 5 results and could be in the mix for top 3 overall result

Extreme top fitness + a little patience + his talent he could make fools of the entire field of current riders.
I hope and pray THAT Mookie is at the gate at A1.

What do you mean with several rounds, didn't he crash at the second weekend?

Ah yeah Barcia did win A1.. feels so long ago. I hope I'm wrong but I'm a bit worried for AP this season. The heel injury really took the wind out of his rookie year.

Hard to achieve anything only lining up 6/8 times a year. Hope he does well but not expecting much same as Plessinger last year.
