On their instagram this morning they discussed this. They are processing and mailing orders this week, adding to them for the delay and offering full no questions asked refunds for those wanting them

I just saw that. I can understand, but sucks. Commendable for them sticking to their word in supporting the riders they said they would. And if they do what they say in catching up, they’ll have my return business and good word as well.

Took me about 6-7 weeks to receive my order, but I did receive it.

Literally it’s only a few people doing the whole business and they released a new style of tape so maybe they are trying to get caught up. I met the owner at SX since he’s driving around the vortex support van for AJ, he’s a good guy, he never thought mototape would blow up like it did. Yes we all want instant gratification but he will get you your tape ASAP.

Do you know if the clear air box grip sheets are rubbery or like a mild abrasive?
We use the pre-cut clear graphics saver. it goes on with heat and is extremely flexible while warm. It hardens up as it cools. I wouldn't say abrasive but definitely rough not rubbery. I love it as my boys can be really tough on any graphics made regardless of company.

We've been testing some frame guard material that has lasted longer than anything else we have tried by a long shot. Not sure when he is releasing it. My boys are destruction testers for JJW/Trik Tape.........

You should try out core grip he's been selling it on ebay for forever and has a website now. It's guaranteed shipped the next day. The material and adhesive is a lot better than the mototape stuff. It also look like it's cut more precise so it won't catch on your boot and rip off. It's coregrip.com

Ace Hardware, $1.99/ft. Can usually get 2 pieces per foot for the KX. Have a template from cardboard that stays in the box. I usually buy 5-6ft every couple months, trace and cut and have a stack waiting to go. WTF is this overpriced mototape? You know that stuff is trashed anyways after 1 or 2 ride days anyways.

3M Safety-Walk Medium Resilient tape is what the pros like HRC Honda, Kawi, etc are using. You can get strips or sheets.

Amazon has it for a pretty decent price. With weekly trail rides, I replace mine every other month or so.

That's exactly what they use. I had a conversation with James Shoffner in the Kawi pit in Arlington and I asked him about it. I had grown tired of the more abrasive tapes eating up my boots and noticed their tape was more "rubbery". He responded with "dude, we just get it by the roll from ACE Hardware".

Funny shit. I played Xbox with the mototape guy a while back and he was bragging about his business. Even went on to say something along the lines of, idgaf I’ll tell you guys how I make it, not like any of y’all know how to get into the industry (which really wouldn’t be hard to replace the guy considering how Many threads I’ve read about him being late on orders🤦‍♂️) lucky for him I’m not a complete ass hole

I always use the 4in wide stuff as that's what my local Ace has.
