For 1 reason... whoops. If he cant ride whoops by now idk man, not looking good. Hell get wins but nobody thats bad in whoops can win a series.

I HOPE he proves this wrong tho and gets em down pat.

Really fast in every section but the whoops was there in person. Caught up to Tomac and then lost all his time in the whoops.

His old self is bad in whoops tho... thats the point. He needs to not be his old self and get the whoops down. He hired Vuillemin specifically to help him in whoops cuz its known he struggles there. I hooope he gets it down but this late in his career it may just be what it is.

Exactly hes as good as ANYONE on the rest of the track. Always has been. You wont win a 16 rd championship if u cant get the whoops down tho, hopefully it just clicks idk.

It’s 1 race. He’s a pretty good starter and we have some triple crowns coming up!

Hes got to get his knee good before any whoop improvments show. We havent seen what he can do. His knee is going to be jacked for few rounds

Whoops are stupid, always have been. Look what happened to Mookie and he’s one of the best through the whoops!

I remember on Vital when Kenny crashed people were saying fill in triples so its like a camel hump. I also remember when Davalos crashed on the start people said motogp type start. Now people saying whoops need to go... Imagine if we got rid of literally everything on the track lol... Come on guys. It sucks but honestly this year the tracks look much safer. What happened to Malcolm cant be prevented and whoops hardly ever cause the major injuries of this sport.

Jimmy Button might think otherwise. Whoops shouldn’t go but jumps at the end should. And they shouldn’t be so long and fast.

True. He broke his femur on the 3-5-3 triple.

Marvin is supremely talented, but he does struggle with whoops. He also has the problem of having to beat Roczen and Tomac in order to win a series. A tall order.

It was clear as day when they showed the overhead of the whoops, he just doesn’t have the speed in the whoops. That Achilles heal will prevent him winning a title.

2 races in.
He took a long break for knee rehab & didn’t get much bike time.
So, I’d think twice before throwing him under the bus.

IMO, Musquin would benefit from some upper body mass. His physique reminds me more of the typical road bicycle racer than that of a 450 MX/SX racer.

Let’s not forget another lanky French rider who just happened to kick some serious ass back in ‘91. Good old JMB.

Not for nothing but he hasn't shown he can consistently win outdoors either and there are no whoops there. Sure it's almost a different sport outdoors but he has a title there too. I don't think the whoops are the only issue, it's his consistency of overall speed. Not like every week we see him smoke everyone and lose it in the whoops. He's good but I think still fuck all of nothing behind some of his comp on a consistent basis.
