Remember that year the Yamaha 250f team was sponsored by the reloadable debit card company?

Another fly by night company coming and going out of moto, and per their social media the last thing they did was a giveaway with metal mulisha 3-4 years ago.

Where did they go?

In a weird kind of way I kinda dig the styling of that year Yamaha 250 with the sharp angles.

It was Mastercard....or a spin off. Anyway, they sponsored the Star team for a little while then bounced. Not sure if that card is still a thing or not.

It's true...ive got a 13model...handles great, excellent suspension but sloooooow! Also it bogs landing from jumps all the time and the carburetor is ridiculously sensitive to temperature chsnge...I need to spend more time working on it...did the bigger leak jet mod and that was a big help...the bog on jump landings might be float level related....but I just don't ride it anymore..its the special edition model, got it for a song , still basically brand new...gonna keep it as my coffee table bike!

Would be nice if Yamaha would slap a 2 stroke engine inside, call it a day, then sell it to the public.
Just my opinion.

Yeah , I get where you are coming from...I don't know how much of an improvement it would actually be, but it would be exciting!
I have a friend that is a Yamaha insider that swears that this gen of 250 f is still lighter and better handling than the 14 to 18 models... I rode a lot of laps on the new 2019 250 f... and hands down, the easiest bike to go fast on I ever rode...a nd I'm really not a 4 stroke guy...but it was vastly superior to my 13, based on how strong and linear the power was, how clean it ran! Weight and handling.....the 13 is very good..

I saw a 250 2 stroke that had those shrouds. I think the gas tank bolts up.

It isn’t. That’s really what I was talking about, the title sponsor. Not the actual team.

I understand. I think what I was trying to say was it was a spin off card that Mastercard was pushing, they gave the sponsorship thing a go, then bailed, and I believe so did the card?
