Beacause the most of 250 riders do not generally do that jump, to avoid the risk of one of 450 fall over one of 250, as in the MXDN race they go together 250 with 450, they are not going to do that jump.

This is why the nationals are superior to the GPs. At least our 250 guys can huck it.

Yeah I was quite surprised how many 250 guys were jumping it in the race this year. More than usual.

Yea i did. Clearly they know if AP is selected then theyll lose. His yamaha will clear that jump every time no problem.

Why wouldn't they just change the run up to it? That sucks. Its going to be my first time at red bud and I don't even get to see it in all of its glory.

Why not just change the approach so the 250s could do it?

Wouldn't that be easier?

They way it's worded it seems like he's saying he doesn't want the leap, not that it's already a done deal. The way the new leap is located there's not a ton of room around it to build an alternate section because there's bleachers and a fence there now. I find it hard to believe it won't be included in their biggest race ever.

It makes sense when you think about it. Wonder what they’ll make that section like.

AC222 complained about Budd's Creek in 2007, said it was too deep or something.

What about the jumps at matterly? They are effin huge and there’s about 10 of them. Just because they know ap23 will send it over those euro melts heads. Pissed me off that the FIM ruin everything they get involved with. Bunch of Fanny’s the gp boys these days, just send it

And what about when the 450 leaders who jump it come through traffic and slower riders that don’t jump it, no one has ever been landed on before from that jump from someone sending it . No one jumps it in the middle of the pack or around riders that don’t jump it, riders are not stupid they know when to jump it and when not to. So pissed off

I don't exactly, but I think it was a video interview. Possibly Tim Richie. Whatever the source was, I considered it a done deal.

They went to all the effort of creating a replica leap, putting the stand in there etc which was all rumoured to be for their bid to host the des nations. That says to me this is fake news

Only 4 250's doing it in the first moto this year and I think 3 in the 2nd moto. I hadn't thought about this before, but with so many 450's and 250's mixed, it could be a problem, especially with a lot of riders who have never ridden the track before. But how would they get up the hill to the other side if they don't use the leap? There's no room to the left, so what...go around behind the grandstands? Or maybe they just continue straight after the sand rollers, but that would take lap times down by 20-25 seconds so I'd doubt they'd do that. I'd say if they think they have to do something, leave it in and reconfigure the bottom so that more 250's can make it, or shorten the run up so that nobody can. Or...leave it alone and assume these guys are all pro's and not weekend warriors...they'll figure it out.

What about all the huge jumps on some of the GP tracks? Are you saying this because the 250 and 450's have to race together in one moto?

Weege and Langston said it was going to be there during the broadcast but things could have changed.

If it really is a concern.....don't mess with the take off at all , just push the landing ramp back a bit , OR....make the landing ramp a big table.

Pussys just need to SEND IT!!!

Seriously though there is riders who race MXoN who have never raced a GP or a AMA race so the skill gap is HUGE and this is one of the things riders complained about last year at Matterley from some of the top riders.

Personally I can't see them taking it out, but I would like to see a bigger run up so the 250s will be more competitive around the track just so we have better racing.
